Bunchrew House Hotel

In 20 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens and woodland, on the shores of the Beauly Firth near Inverness, this 17th-century Scottish mansion is now a luxurious 4-star country house hotel. Free parking is available at this hotel, and there are Tesla and non-Tesla electric car charging points on-site. Rich in historic character and traditional charm, parts of the Bunchrew House Hotel date back to 1505. With dark-wood panelling and real log fireplaces at both ends of the room, the Drawing Room is a warm cosy place to relax. Each en suite room is individually decorated with its own unique character and the rooms are named after local places and Scottish clans associated with the house. All rooms have TVs and fridges, with fresh milk supplied daily. With fabulous views over the Beauly Firth to the mountains beyond, the wood-panelled restaurant has received 2 AA Rosettes for the quality of its cuisine. The Cocktail Bar looks out onto the hotel’s magnificent gardens and offers a range of drinks, including fine malt whiskies.

Unique place with unique history, nestled amongst stunning grounds. For those seeking comfort of a countryside mansion w

Pros: Stunning location, fantastic history of the place, outstanding cuisine

Cons: In the evening property run at skeleton crew (understandably off-season) slightly compromising experience of guests and speed of service

Like a Disney castle. Inside was a traditional Scottish stay. Staff were amazing

Pros: Everything. The bed was so comfortable. Location and the staff

Cons: I was above the kitchen and the kitchen hands could be heard in my room and woke me up

Lovely stay by the loch

Pros: A lovely cosy hotel right on the loch. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was also really nice and just a short drive into the town.

Cons: There are no lifts (which was fine for us) but if you have a lot of bags/ struggle with stairs it’s something to consider.

Perfect stay

Pros: From start to finish amazing and quite possibly the nicest place ive ever stayed I didn't want to give perfect scores incase they put the prices up, as I will definitely be returning, but I have to 10 out of 10

Cons: Nothing to dislike

Amazing, would highly recommend!

Pros: Fantastic hotel near Inverness with beautifully decorated rooms and stunning interiors. It’s wonderfully pet-friendly, the breakfast was exceptional, and the restaurant was amazing. Highly recommend!

Cons: The only downside is that there’s no bar menu — dining is limited to the AA rosette restaurant, so if you’re after something more casual you’ll need to travel into the city.

Valentine’s Day was excellent - thank you 🙏

Pros: Wow wow wow….this place was absolutely amazing. Felt like highland royalty staying here and were treated to that same feeling by the lovely staff. It was Valentine’s Day and there was special cocktails and menu which was superb.

Relaxing homely unique experience

Pros: Food was really good . The young girl that greeted us, took us to our room and gave great service throughout our evening meal . Her pleasantness’s enhanced our overall experience . The hotel room was really nice and the history of the building and its occupants was a nice added touch

Excellent

Pros: Returning (many times) customer, my goto when stopping in the area. Professional but friendly staff, from check in to check out. Beautiful building, fantastic peaceful location but handy for Inverness and arterial roads. Good breakfast and dog friendly.

Cons: All good for me

Good but very cold!

Pros: Beautiful location, dog friendly \u0026 convenient EV charging. Comfortable bed, nice toiletries.

Cons: Hotel was cold, both in room (radiators were behind thick curtain) and lounge areas. Disappointed, as we arrived on a cold evening and were looking forward to a sit by the fire in the drawing room to enjoy our evening drinks but fire was unlit (due to being short staffed) and it was incredibly chilly, almost as if air con was on full blast! We moved to the lounge but the heat from the fire there didn't reach us. Such a shame as the drawing room otherwise would have been perfect!
