Pros: The setting and building was traditional. Not generic and sterile like city hotels.

Cons: It’s not that I didn’t like this but was surprised that the staff weren’t from Scotland.

How a hotel should be run! 5 star!

Pros: The remoteness - Perfectly placed with nothing else around but nature, scenery \u0026 breathtaking views! Adrian \u0026 Eva were wonderful hosts, and Olly the chef (and all rounder!). We were welcomed, looked after, had dinner together like visiting friends to chat the night away. Simply lovely.

A really enjoyable diversion from the normal NC500 route.

Pros: Adrian, Eva and their team were excellent hosts and our accommodation was clean, warm and comfortable. After a long day driving the North Coast 500 it was just what we needed and added an extra level of adventure to our trip.

Cons: Some of us in our group would have liked larger portions at breakfast.

Pros: This historical house sits in an isolated windswept part of the Highlands. With distant views of a loch and hills. It's remoteness adds to its character
