Art House Apartments

Pros: This is my second time at Art House and one of my favourite places to stay in Inverness . Beautiful accomodation in quiet area but just 5 minutes lovely walk to the centre or Eden Court with ample off street parking.

Comfortable stay, within walking distance of old town

Pros: Location is great Has all the amenities needed Very comfortable - and family room is great

Pros: Location - close to centre of town, but out of the crowded spaces. Very neat, beautifully furnished, and lovely festive touches. Nice views - including a sliver of the Inverness Castle. Has all of the basic kitchen amenities to do own food (fridge, microwave, oven etc).

Cons: While not an issue for us (as our daughter is a bit older), the Treehouse living areas / rooms are situated over 3 floors - including uppermost for kids room - with steep stairs. So would not be ideal for young families or people with mobility challenges.

Cons: Temperature in the living room was chill even with heating up high

Beautiful apartment in ideal location

Pros: Beautifully styled apartment. Spacious, very comfortable and clean, comfy bed and nice modern bathroom. Lovely well stocked kitchen with a very nice welcome hamper including a bottle of wine. Location is superb just down from the Cathedral, short easy walk to town, pubs etc. Easy parking with allocated spot.

Cons: Didn’t love the fire doors on each room, very heavy to open

Cute bijou base in the heart of Inverness!

Pros: Right near the centre of Inverness so very handy. Has everything you need for a short stay.

Cons: No air con or fan. A bit squashed - they certainly make the most of the tiny space but it is very tiny! So I’m not sure I would cope any longer than a night or two.

Beautiful apartment but problems with hot water and washing machine.

Pros: The one bedroom apartment was well appointed with parking at the door and kitchen. Short drive to most attractions. Tesco nearby.

Cons: Nowhere to stack suitcases. No hot water till I rang reception and found out they'd turned off the heating switch (not explained in the room compendium). Forget the washing/drier machine-4hour cycle then doesn't dry. Instructions useless. Bedroom cramped with room too small for bed

Near perfect stay

Pros: It was a very nice looking apartment with everything that you would need for a nice, long stay.

Cons: The apartment though pretty, felt a little cold. I don't know how to describe it though

Pros: A perfect appartment in Inverness, very good accessorize the parking is perfect the appartment is beautiful and that all you need is there their restaurant is very reccomended

Gorgeous accomodation

Pros: Location to explore Inverness was perfect. Parking right out front was ideal. Very easy access. Apartment was absolutely stunning and so well appointed. So much space! We were so comfortable and happy after being cramped in small AirBnb's for a couple of weeks road tripping around. Washing machine was a welcome addition after being on the road. Loved the SMEG fridge and quality of bathroom (and size - it was huge!). Bed super comfy.

Cons: I had asked for a recommendation for dinner as we were going to be arriving later. I didn't realise at the time there was a partnership with The Mustard Seed restaurant, so took the recommendation of the host and Helen kindly arranged a table with short notice. Upon arriving at the restaurant it was absolutely chaotic. The staff were run off their feet, and whilst doing the best they could, it was far from a 'relaxing atmosphere' as Helen described. We were sold on the 'free drink' which is always a winner, however the free drink we did receive was as whiskey sour that was all foam. Really average. Food was ok, nothing amazing however. We had to ask three times for a red wine after waiting 20 minutes for it. Our server was literally running around she was so busy! It is very loud being exposed in the hard surfaces. I write this level of detail because even though I was given a few opportunities to give feedback (once to Helen and twice at the end of our meal, I felt like 'what was the point given we wouldn't be back!' but I do think honest reviews help other travellers. In summary, whilst it was easy, very short walk from the hotel and we didn't need to research other options, if I had my time again I would have chosen somewhere else to eat. One other small inconvenience was a call I received around 8am the morning of our check out from Helen who advised there was a leak coming from our room and a plumber needed to come on site at 9.30am to investigate. We were so looking forward to a slow morning relaxing and sorting washing etc that this was a disturbance. I asked for the plumber to come at 10am once we had checked out, but then didn't hear whether he was or wasn't coming so we were sort of in a limbo and not really that relaxed anymore. Again, this would be a very rare occasion, but given the price, this was an annoying start to what should have been a relaxed morning.
