A well appointed, comfortable stay in a great location.

Pros: This hotel was very comfortable and a perfect spot for the halfway point in my journey. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Great vegan breakfast options, helpful staff, handy location!

Pros: The breakfast was fantastic! Continental options as well as a customised cooked Scottish breakfast (I got the vegan version including vegan black pudding and sausages). Would definitely recommend, especially for solo travellers like me.

Home comforts

Pros: Food top quality Very quick breakfast served within a couple of minutes Duvet lovely

Cons: MAybe a fridge in room.but that would probably be noisy. Pepper and Salt on every table would be great so I didn't have to keep asking people to use it.

Very good value for money and excellent breakfast

Pros: We stayed in the en-suite rooms and they were extremely comfortable and served our purposes perfectly for an overnight stay on the way to the ferry for Orkney. The ‘icing on the cake’ was an excellent home-cooked full Scottish breakfast with home made jam. Very good value for money.

Cons: Some aspects of the hotel are outdated, but they are part of the charm, and reflected in the low cost.

Perfect and hope I can stay here again when working up this way

Pros: The staff were amazing I was out much too early for breakfast so they packed me a lunch instead which was very nice. Nice food and a nice bar too.
