Eagle Hotel

Pros: The room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was clean and modern. We asked the staff for more tea bags ect, as we didn't bother getting our room cleaned every day. They sent someone to our room very quickly with what we had asked for.

Cons: The shower was a problem. We were told to leave it on eco setting, which we did, but it wasn't hot and there was very little water pressure, which was a disappointment. We didn't say anything at the time as there was probably nothing they could do. Also we ate at the hotel on the first night of our stay, unfortunately the steak pie I had wasn't very nice, the meat was tough.

Our Hosts Eric and Suzie were fantastic, always time for a chat and ensured we had a good Holiday.

Pros: King Size Bed and being well looked after nothing was too much trouble.

Cons: Going Home

Pros: The room was warm and clean. Staff friendly \u0026 helpful. Location good for a winter break.

Cons: Food good but menu limited. A chair in the room would have been useful.

Great location, great room, great value - shame about the weather!

Pros: Great room for 3 adults. Friendly staff and great breakfast. Ideal location in the centre of Dornoch and fabulous value. Good evening meal too.

Pros: Food was excellent. Friendly staff and easy access to the local amenities. Have stayed many times before and continues to be of a high standard. Very happy to recommend to anyone heading to the area.

Pros: Very relaxed and informal. Nothing too much trouble. Great room with huge bed. Excellent Breakfasts and the Pub is a welcoming place to sit either alone or chat to local folks and/or staff.

Pros: I wonder if the staff had completed visitor training. All the staff were very friendly and informative. I forgot to book a meal the evening we arrived. It was booked solid, but the staff recommended the Coach house along the road that was quiet and could seat us both. We had a meal of a lifetime. Our twin room(6) was immaculately clean and very comfortable. While the wife unpacked her clothes for hogmanay I sneaked a cheeky pint downstairs. Great beer, busy and staff were genuinely friendly. Great big bathroom that was immaculate. The breakfast was really good and the morning staff very informative/friendly. Our room was nice and cosy, brilliant as it was extremely cold outside. We had a meal on our second night(almost deserted this time) and it was 10/10. Overall this was a GREAT wee find and good value for money being so close to the centre. We loved our stay

Cons: We were in room 6 and there are two downward steps from the entrance door. I stumbled and caught myself, but once we knew it was there, no problem. This really needs a sign warning of the drop as we opened the door to a dark room. There is enough parking space for two cars max, but there is plenty of parking locally. We parked on the street opposite the Eagle and the car was safe. I didn't like leaving as it was such excellent accommodation.

Great price of the stay

Pros: The property was situated in the town so that was good place. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and had good verity. Rooms were clean, we had a family and king size room. King size room was clean but, from the bed wall somehow we could feel the cold com in. Windows were doubled so no sound was coming in. The family room was clean and nice but I forgot to tell the reception that the radiator was leaking.

Cons: Walls are a little thin. You can hear people in the next room.

Unexpected snowy stay

Pros: The staff were lovely and helpful - long journey because of the weather.

Cons: No plug socket near a mirror for the hairdryer. Didn't like choosing breakfast the night before.
