Chieftain Hotel

Stay was relaxing easy access to facilities outwith hotel.

Pros: Had been before and enjoyed the visit.location friendly staff ,homely

Would definitely return, great value for money, staff amazing, generally a very comfortable stay.

Pros: The staff are all amazin and exceedingly pleasant and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble. The hotel exceeded our expectations for the price that we paid and the food was delicious. The reception, bar etc are all very comfortable, however, when you enter the hotel part it lets the whole thing down with the decor, could have just been in a transition phase? Everwhere is exceedingly clean and the bed is comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms do need a spruce up but you have everything that you need for a short stay.

Cons: We had a 'no hot water' incident but it was fixed immediately, the outside area needs a bit of tidying up, I can't think of anything else other than that mentioned above.

Comfortable, friendly staff and excellent food

Pros: Perfect location for walking to shopping centre. Comfortable and excellent breakfast and dinner.

Pros: The spacious room, the warm welcome, the well equipped tea tray with good biscuits and hot chocolate options. The smart tv which allowed us to connect to our accounts. The comfy beds

Cons: Only minor thing was it took a while for the hot water to come on for the shower but it was fine once it did and I know this can be a common issue in big traditional properties!

Pros: Great location, just out of town, but a nice stroll into town

Pros: Breakfast timings were not mentioned clearly; we missed a breakfast. The rooms are in a good location and are very convenient and very calm and good.

Pros: Location is excellent being a walkable distance into Inverness City Centre. The staff (Nick and Justin in particular) were absolutely fantastic and could not have been more friendly and helpful. The bed (although a little small) was really comfortable which led to a great sleep. Continental Breakfast was a nice unexpected bonus too

Cons: Unfortunate issues with hot water. At night shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold as was the same with the bath and sink taps. Room was also quite chilly as neither of the radiators were working (we had a small portable heater). I reported this to Nick who, to his great credit, offered a swap of rooms but I explained we were only here for one night so wasnt worth it. Was lovely to be offered though.

Fabulous hotel

Pros: Staff were amazing so friendly and so helpful. Rooms were spacious and comfortable with both a bath and a shower. We ate here 2 nights in a row in the restaurant food was amazing especially the fish and chips as one of the best we have ever had. Credit to the chef. Can't comment on breakfast but if it was as good as the evening meals it is worth it. Location to Inverness was an easy 10 minute walk. Free parking at the side of the hotel. Our room was spotless and the bathroom was extremely clean. For my first ever stay up in Scotland it exceeded my expectations. Value for money was great and everything was reasonably priced. Thank you for a great stay and we will be back at some point.
