Craiglynne Hotel

Situated in its own grounds, a short walk from the town centre, the Craiglynne Hotel offers a warm, friendly atmosphere with open fires in both the lounge and bar. Guestrooms are decorated in a charming, traditional Victorian way. They feature tea/coffee making facilities and there are free toiletries in the en suite bathrooms. The restaurant serves Scottish dishes and breakfast, afternoon tea and snacks can be taken in the bar, sun lounge, restaurant or outside. In summer, guests can enjoy the sun lounge which has views of the hotel’s gardens. In winter, roaring log fires provide a cosy atmosphere. Pros: I stayed 1 night and I found the staff at reception to be very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, but most of all it was warm. I shall definitely be visiting again. Thank you to the staff 😁

Pros: Everything other than the hotel is tired. Needs a wee freshen up. The people were amazing.

Cons: Just needs a Big freshen up

Simple, clean, pleasant, well positioned and has the same sense of comfort as your local decent boozer from 1999.

Pros: Great location, easy and hassle free for single night stay over for work. Seemed like a great local community who meet there to enjoy a pint, chat and even saw some dominoes being thrown around too. The staff were very nice, were down to earth and genuinely friendly.

Cons: Have to take on some accountability myself here as I totally get it from the hotels standpoint. Drove for 7 hours, arrived at 8:10pm, quick change and down at 8:20pm, food was served until 8:30pm. Fair enough, the bartender asked the chef if he could whip something up, but was pointed out the front door, turn left and walk for 5 minutes to the local chippy. Got myself a cheeky chippy, came back, ate, spent the night painting the toilet with second hand battered sausage, cheesy chips and a really sweet curry sauce, which wasn’t part of the original meal. Please send my sincere apologies to the poor chamber maid who had to cope with the aftermath on that one.

Pros: Staff lovely and very helpful. Food excellent. Beds firm.

Cons: Room small and bathroom glass not clean. Over bath shower very dated. Step over pipe cover to bathroom awkward. Bar had no decent red wine on first night only low alcohol.

A lovely hotel in Grantown-on-Spey - we hope to stay again.

Pros: We loved the breakfast. Nice sized rooms with comfy beds. Good value for money.

Cons: The TV in our room didn't have a good signal and so the picture broke up at times.

Very welcoming

Pros: Position on edge of town. Good access from main road. Good base for walking, hiking or , in my case, photography.

exactly what i required and was given.

Pros: friendly staff proactive towards the guests needs. Being elderly and disabled this was particularly welcome and although i had not disclosed this when booking the staff changed my room to a floor where i was able to use the lift.

Cons: very little

We were very pleasantly surprised, super value for money, we will be back.

Pros: I knew we would be arriving late and leaving early so booked somewhere 'cheap and cheerful'; i therefore did not have high expectations. However i was very pleasantly surprised, our room was lovely, staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, and all aspects of our stay were good.

Cons: It is a big hotel and some of the communal areas are a little tired
