BCC Loch Ness Hostel

Pros: Huge room and bathroom, nice kitchen facilities, ample parking, very good value for money. Nice atmosphere. Quiet surroundings. Easy to find.

Cons: Beds weren't the best, but ok for one night. Difficult to lock room from the outside

Simple, honest, warm

Pros: Simple honest and value. No frills. Like none. But they are upfront about that. But it was warm, clean, easy to find, easy to get in the room, full kitchen facilities. My room had 3 beds which was not needed but a bonus.

Cons: Not much. Some shower gel would have been cool but for the price I guess I don't see how they would do more than they do. Oh a slightly better pillow would be cool 🤷‍♂️ For clarity the cost of this place is what most hotels would consider their cost price! Ie the cost of cleaning, sheets, consumables etc. so if your expecting miracles that's on you.

Perfectly placed to see what the Highlands has to offer at a great rate

Budget great little gem

Pros: Easy self check in. Key was in a key box I booked a single room and as a solo traveller I was a bit anxious after reading the reviews. This is a hostel. My room, room 2 was lovely. Very clean, bed was comfortable and I had a choice of 3. Room was large and the bathroom was too. Spotless. Shower was excellent after a long day hiking. Good location for Drumnadrochit and getting to loch affric. Highly recommend hiking round there. This was why I returned as I had previously hiked the affric kintail way and fell in love with the area. BCC hostel is a budget friendly hostel with the right facilities for your stay. I had a mooch around at the pods etc and ill definitely be back. My chocolate labrador loved it. I'll be back

Cons: No issues at all

Staff couldnt do enough to help

Pros: We asked if we could be upgraded and pay the difference so we could have our own kitchen and towels as forgot our own ones. We paid the difference and had a lovely night.

Cons: I think in my old age ive grown out of hostels so cant complain

Affordable option

Pros: It was a very comfortable place and we got our own bathroom!

Cons: It could have been cleaner (kitchen was a mess)

Nice wee spot

Pros: The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable, if a bit creaky. There was good heating. The shower was excellent. The communal areas were adequate. There is an oven, hob, microwave, kettle and much more.

Cons: In one of our rooms the plug was stuck in the washbasin (we managed to get it out using a sharp knife from the kitchen) and there was a area of floor tiling beside the bath with water underneath. In the other room, one of the windows could be opened from outside.

Convenient, simple and comfortable

Pros: Easy check in, good price and peaceful location- good facilities

Stayed one night while travelling with a group. Nice location and easy check in and check out.
