Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at Craiggellachie Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and the hotel is very dog friendly. We arrived quite late due to an accident en route but we were quickly helped inside and seated for dinner. Our dog was welcome everywhere and fussed by everyone and we enjoyed retreating back to the fire in the pub after some snowy walks. The whiskey bar was a great spot to relax at the end of the day too. Good location if you are looking to explore the area and off road parking.

Perfect Scottish get away

Pros: We were really looked after from arrival, our room also got upgraded which was a lovely surprise. The hotel has cosy Scottish feel, with beautiful surroundings. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed some drinks in the bar downstairs. The bed was extremely comfortable, we had the best sleep. The breakfast was included and it was delicious

Cons: The only thing that was disappointing was the Quich bar wasn't open until late, when we finally got there. The fire wasn't on and it missed the usual cozy atmosphere.

Pros: The hotel is in a central location for some of the whisky distilleries, the breakfast was good and staff were very friendly. The Quaich bar was very nice and the barman very knowledgable about the various whiskies.

Cons: The food was a bit expensive and the whiskies were a bit overpriced especially comparing with other pubs in the area, I did not notice until last night that the mattress in our room was very stained and was covered with a mattress topper.

Excellent stay in a beautiful area can’t wait to go back

Pros: On site dining with a local pub across the street. Pretty riverside walk behind the hotel. Staff were excellent and hotel was the kind of cozy you would hope for in Scotland. Bartender in the main bar was excellent, knowledgeable, created a professional but fun atmosphere with an incredibly well stocked bar and whiskey collection. Hotel is close to many Speyside distilleries and Aberlour the famous Walkers shortbread company. Comfortable lounge where you can sit quietly with a book and enjoy the surroundings.

Cons: If you don’t have a car be sure and contact one of the local companies to drive you around. We used Craigellachie cars who were very accommodating. If you arrive at the local train station in Keith you will need to have a pick up.
