Elgin Weekend

Pros: The situation was central and accessible from Aviemore and Inverness. The staff were excellent, helpful, and friendly. The meals were superior.

Modern hotel. Nice staff. Didn't like the shower setup.

Pros: Nice size room, modern with iron, hairdryer, mini fridge. The bar and lounges were nice. Staff were lovely and breakfast was fine. Large car park within easy reach of hotel reception.

Cons: Room was very warm. Bathroom was small and surprised to see a shower curtain (which didn't stop water going all over the floor). Shower water supply pulsed fast/slow and hot/cold?

Refurbish old rooms and it could be really good!!

Pros: Good public areas, good food, and staff friendly, pleasant and helpful.

Cons: Four poster room is tired, although bathroom has been updated. Room needs decoration, new carpet and underlay and new mattress of current quality hotel standard if want good rating on room.

Great lcoation in central Elgin

Pros: Great location in central Elgin, lovely rooms and well set out, private parking onsite which is good. Staff were all fantastic and very helpful.

Cons: Room was very warm and even opening the windows it still took for ever to cool down.

Excellent staff and food

Pros: The staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent and the menu was very good.

Cons: The room was a little hot but probably nothing they could do about it.

A very comfortable stay and well located for a visit to Elgin.

Pros: Comfort, good parking, great staff and excellent location in Elgin.

Cons: Very hot in the room, I bought an additional fan because the one provided was inadequate. Very slippery bath.

Pros: The location was great and central to the Town. The staff were generally very friendly and helpful.

Cons: It was uncharacteristically warm for Scotland and it was hard to reduce the temperature in the room (we appreciate most to the time you are trying to keep guest warm). Breakfast was a bit disappointing. It was not a traditional Scottish breakfast(it was an English breakfast) there was no Lorne sausage (Square sausage) and some baked beans and haggis would have enhanced it. The continental selection was a bit disappointing too.

The staff made this Hotel. So pleasant and helpful. They were on the ball, lively and fun to talk with.

Pros: Central to Elgin and the towns, villages and countryside we wished to visit

Cons: We prefer rooms with a walk in shower rather than a bath/shower. We had difficult negotiating the bath/shower and unfortunately the hotel was not able to accommodate a change.
