Overnight stay to visit family

Black Isle must visit

Pros: Amazing place to stay! If you’re a whisky fan, they have an incredible selection. We tried the Whisky Society Ardbeg, and it was one of the best whiskies I’ve had so far. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the water pressure for the shower was great. The staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable.

Cons: We could stay a bit longer than a night there!

Great place to stay if a little run down.

Pros: The staff where really nice and friendly the bed was comfortable and the food and beer where great. They love dogs as well so can’t be bad

Cons: It’s a little run down and the furniture in the room needs replacing.

Quirky place with an enthusiastic welcoming owner. Don't be put off by the outside of the premises

Pros: Staff were so friendly especially the owner. The breakfasts were excellent and the room was nicely appointed.

Cons: No double glazing on bedroom windows.

Don’t be put off with the outside appearance when you arrive.

Pros: Breakfast was very good, we took an American type breakfast for a change and thought it was very good.

Cons: We were only there for 1 night and there was nothing we didn’t like.

Pros: Its just the quirkiness, more like a working man's pub feel about it.

Cons: Breakfast was at 8 which was a bit late for us, the bathroom door wasn't really fixed to anything

NC 500 stop over

Pros: We had just finished riding the NC 500, so this was our celebration evening, which was just great. The owner and his staff were amazing, and looked after us so well.

Cons: No where to hang your face or bath towel in the ensuite.
