In a beautiful, tranquil location in picturesque Drumnadrochit, beside one of the most famous and romantic stretches of water in the world, this traditional Scottish hotel dates back to around 1740. Set in acres of woodland, the Loch Ness Lodge Hotel is 14 miles from Inverness. With walks and cycle trails to nearby Urquhart Castle, the hotel makes a great base from which to explore the Highlands. The hotel is within the grounds of the Nessieland Castle Monster Centre, with facilities including a cinema, exhibition, coffee shop, loch cruises and a children’s activity centre. This original Highland lodge is now a privately owned 3-star hotel offering rooms rich in character and traditional charm. Each en suite room has a telephone, TV and tea/coffee-making facilities. With log fires, the Pibroch Bar and hotel restaurant offer traditional cuisine, including carefully prepared Scottish produce, from hill venison and lamb to salmon and mussels from the West Coast.

Pros: This hotel has a history that is evident in the facilities. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable. We had a very good breakfast!

Pros: The Loch Ness Lodge Hotel had a charming feel to it. It had an interesting history, the rooms were quaint and comfortable.

Cons: The staff, while very efficient, did not smile or engage with us.

Lovely hotel

Pros: The room we had was massive and bathroom bed was really comfy loved the tartan flooring every where staff really nice good option for breakfast

Not friendly enough

Pros: Breakfast good, but staff a little aloof ( ie.not overly friendly). The bar was expensive I.e 1 x single malabu and diet coke + 1 bottle of local beer £ 16.oo for cash, the resteraunt did not have an extensive menu and was also expensive.

Cons: Did not like the restaurant, or bar. Felt a little bit underwhelming and when enquiring with the owner who was running the bar, about non -alcoholic drink like Guiness zero was told \

Great stay, hard to fault.

Pros: It's very hard to fault the place, great location, clean with large rooms, they even have a bath. The place was quiet, the bed was comfortable and the staff were very friendly.

Cons: It's an older building. If you can accept that it's not a new Hilton and you prefer some character, it's excellent value.
