The Cnoc Hotel

A home away from home!

Pros: Duncan and Luzaan are the most wonderful welcoming hosts! The place feels warm and cosy and the hotel is located in a stunning location close to Glen Affric. The restaurant was closed (due to it being low season), but Duncan prepared a lovely home-cooked dinner for all the hotel guests and there is a small cosy bar which is also frequented by locals (and a living room with fireplace). The rooms are a bit older as this is an old building, but very clean and with spacious comfortable beds (which is not a given in the UK we have found:) Breakfast area beautifully decorated (same as the living room) and breakfast was perfect! Freshly prepared and cooked:)

Wish I could have stayed longer

Pros: All food was delicious and plentiful, staff were friendly and very helpful and the hotel is very comfortable . It is situated in a beautiful,quiet valley within easy reach of many varied activities.

A traditional highland hotel with a wonderful host

Pros: Malcolm is a great host. The hotel is in a very quiet location. It’s been beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious.

Cons: The bathroom is small and the room could do with a little refurbishment.

An absolute delight!

Pros: This little family run business in the middle of the Highlands was by far my favourite place to stay at on our trip. The location in the middle of nowhere is super cute, if you are looking for a more quiet place instead of a city, this is the one for you. The rooms are absolutely adorable and wonderfully spaceous, and there is a bar, a lounge to hang out, and a breakfast room, where you can get a freshly made proper Scottish Breakfast that we enjoyed a lot! The owner was also super nice, we felt incredibly welcomed and super safe, and there was even some local artists' work on display for you to purchase if you'd like. I definitely recommend staying there!

Pros: The fact that we had everything in on place and we did not have to think about were to go for a drink or for food. Very nice atmosphere

Cons: The room was big enough however our bathroom was very small

Pros: This place is amazing. Recommended for the start of the NC500 off the normal beaten track, but don't go into Inverness. Come here for your first night. Duncan is so knowledgeable, customer focused, and he's amazing. Don't hesitate to book it.

Pros: Delicious food and very nice people. We felt very welcome and had a good time at the Cnoc Hotel. Its a nice and quite area.
