Pros: Good location. Very comfortable with excellent staff and food.

Cons: Full Scottish breakfast didn’t have tatie scones and was served with baked beans. This is an English breakfast.

Burnett Arms - mostly good.

Pros: We stayed at the Burnett Arms a year previously, so knew what to expect. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant/bar provided a good evening meal. Breakfast was substantial and good.

Cons: This time there appeared to be a major difficulty with the hotel internet. This resulted in the hotel car park company attempting to charge us a fine for the free parking. Hopefully this is now resolved, but it has taken a time.

I grew to like it, and would stay again.

Pros: The welcome on a busy Saturday evening wasn't great, including not being offered the wifi password. The atmosphere improved during the week, so that by midweek I was fully settled in. Single room was modern, spacious enough (bathroom particularly so) and very clean. Bed not very supportive, but acceptable. Evening meals good (kitchen not open on Tuesday). Not wanting a full breakfast, at a significant cost, I found that there were good cafes on the High Street, one in poarticular open from 7am, which provided a simpler breakfast at a reasonable price.

Cons: Single room faced onto main road, with normal early commercial traffic. Acceptable unless very sensitive to noise if too warm to close window. Bedlight not really bright enough to read comfortably. TV reception patchy (Sunday night - Euro Womens Football Final).

Great wee hotel right in a central location

Pros: Great hotel and location. Staff were great. Rooms very comfortable and clean \u0026 tidy. Added bonus of being dog friendly. Would definitely visit again.

Cons: A bit short staffed which led to a bit longer waiting times for food but didn't spoil our stay.
