Hard mattress and small room but we got to move rooms no extra charge so good overall

Pros: They had fresh crossaints for breakfast which was yummy, a decent car park and was a quiet area.

Cons: For breakfast they only provide cold stuff such as cereal, mixed fruit, crossaints and toast, they don’t do any hot food like a full English breakfast or pancakes or anything hot, if they did I feel like it would be a good benefit and you would feel more full .

Wonderful stay

Pros: Gorgeous characterful hotel. Lovely staff, amazing evening meal in a beautiful location.

Cons: The only fault was the water pressure in the shower....everything else was amazing

Simply the best!

Pros: Warm, friendly welcoming staff. Lovely, atmosphere, a real gem of a place if you want to feel you are in a genuine “home”. Cosy, quirky and ideal for exploring. My fourth visit now! Breakfast was wonderful too!

Pros: Beautiful location, enriched with history and antiques, a true Scottish vibe with majestic views and great links everywhere

Cons: Selection of breakfast could have been better, I didn't realise they didn't do cooked breakfast, nonetheless, the food was to standard

I rested in a quiet place

Pros: A well-maintained hotel with an older feel – unique. The owners are very kind and attentive. The hotel is very dog-friendly.

Pros: It was a properly cold night when we stopped over - snow on the ground - fire was baxing and the room was nice and warm - food was good as well..

Really enjoyable, will be back.

Pros: Breakfast, although nothing cooked, this was lovely \u0026 exceeded expectations. Lots of hot pastries, good coffee...only thing missing was bacon \u0026 eggs!

Cons: Evening meal portions were far too small. Steak was fantastic, one of the best I've had, but there wasn't nearly enough veg t accompany it. This IS a big concern if you've been out walking all day and have a big appetite to fill. Red wine (glass of Merlot I think) was not great either.

Maria and Derek were there to welcome us, cold and snowy outside but beautifully warm in front of the log fire.

Pros: Love the location, the managers, the quirky artefacts and the food. Only thing lacking this visit was ‘Shira’ was on her holidays. Missed having her cuddle up to me in front of the fire. (The owners wee dog).
