Woodside Steading

Perfect location, perfect house and perfect hosts

Pros: We stayed here for our honeymoon - we wanted complete peace and quiet in the countryside and this exceeded our expectations. The steading was absolutely perfect, very spacious with everything you need, the fresh eggs and shortbread are such a lovely touch! The bed is big and extremely comfortable (amazing sleep every night!). Large fully enclosed garden was fantastic to sit out in and our dog thoroughly enjoyed her new surroundings. The place is fully equipped for everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay with lots of things to see and do short drives away. Nadja and Jan are incredible hosts, so friendly and on hand if anything is needed but respected our privacy too. Jan gave us recommendations on lots of places to visit - so much we didn’t have time for even with a two week stay so looks like we’ll just need to come back 😅 10/10 in every way and we can’t wait to visit again

Cottage in a lovely countryside but close to towns so an ideal base

Pros: Cottage was clean and well equipped. Lovely big fridge. The rooms a good size. The garden very nice to sit out in with lots of bird song. Our host was very friendly and helpful

Cons: No real space to put our own food. A minor problem but meant food was sitting on the counter.

Stunning scenery and beautiful place

Pros: Remote location, beautiful surroundings, stunning scenery, the house itself

Cons: I don't think there was a single thing that I didn't like. Maybe just the long drive to get there, but it was well worth it

Pros: It was so peaceful, exactly what we needed. The steading had everything we needed. Lovely enclosed garden that the dogs loved running around. House was lovely and cosy, we met Jan who was really welcoming.

Highland tranquility after a week by the coast

Pros: Lovely huge cottage. The converted barns gave multiple rooms and spaces to enjoy. The sitting room was almost a baronial old hall !! A very well laid out and comfortable place to spend a remote week in the hills.

Pros: Steading very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Host met us on arrival and checked on us again to ensure we had no issues. Fabulous location - is remote, but if this is what you are after it is a perfect location. Plenty to do around this area. We really enjoyed our stay here and if back in this area would not hesitate to stay here again.

Best cottage ever

Pros: This cottage is beautiful. Equipped for everything you need. Immaculate inside and out. Roll top bathes was an added bonus. Surrounding grounds are also delightful

We had a wonderful relaxing week at Woodside Steading

Pros: The steading was spacious, very clean and had everything we needed to hand. Quirky set up with steps. Enclosed garden for our dog was a bonus. 🐾

Cons: Access road could be a problem for lower cars, however perfectly fine for a 4x4.
