Pros: Unfortunately got snowed in due to extreme weather condition. Host was excellent and very accommodating. Communication great and ensured we were safe by contacting locals who checked in on us and helped us when it was safe to leave. Took a lot of stress out of the situation.

Perfect break

Pros: Location. The property is stunning, really comfortable. The fire was lovely and wood etc was provided. Other than a hairdryer, the property had absolutely everything you needed.

Cons: Nothing, it was perfect.

Pros: This was a fantastic cottage that's in the middle of nowhere, yet close to lots of towns and villages within a ten to fifteen minute drive. It made it ideal! There was loads of space, good facilities, very clean, and so peaceful with plenty of garden space too. The host stephen replied quickly, it was simple to check in, and good value for money. We'd definitely come back here again, without hesitation.

Cons: There was no issues, no concerns, we just wish we had another 2-3 days to enjoy it.

Perfect cottage in quiet rural location with amazing views and everything you need for a break away

Pros: The layout of the house was perfect for us. The location was so quiet and peaceful. Bedrooms were large and airy. Beds were extremely comfortable. Couldn’t hear any noise from the other bedrooms. Garden was as shown in the images. Large garden all secure for the dogs. Sofa was comfortable as was the dining table nd chairs. All in all couldn’t have asked for a better cottage for our group and the price was extremely reasonable too. Every room was cleaned to very high standard so well done to the owner for all the positives. We agreed that it was the first cottage we would definitely come back to. Ticked all our boxes.

Cons: Only minor things that didn’t impact our break away at all. Wi-Fi password wasn’t visible. Took a while to get that up and running. Not major issue really. Worktops in kitchen had a lot of appliances which I appreciate air fryer and coffee machine seem like things people might like but there wasn’t really enough space on worktops for food preparation. Very few towels like tea towels and one room didn’t have towels but again wasn’t a major issue. Apart from that only other thing that didn’t impact us at all was bbq ….if we did want to use it, it wasn’t very clean. Otherwise all excellent.

Perfect peaceful getaway with incredible views.

Pros: We had an amazing 2 night stay for Hogmanay/New Year. The property was spacious, beautifully decorated, cosy and warm and had everything we needed. The large secure garden space for the dogs to run around in. The views were incredible and there were plenty of walks around the area to enjoy. The property is very peaceful and relaxing, the perfect location to disconnect from the world.

Cosy peaceful chilled weekend , will definitely be back 🥰

Pros: We had a fab time staying with friends at this beautiful cottage for the weekend. It has a beautiful cosy feel to it and It’s in the beautiful countryside. So peaceful and safe. Due to the weather and time of year we didn’t get the use of outdoors but we are talking about booking for the summer so we can sit round the fire pit outside! 😍

Cons: Minor faults that wouldn’t put us off returning - we needed to purchase additional wood from a local shop to burn as there was only a small amount outside (unless there was more but we couldn’t find it) - only one oven tray ( slight inconvenience as we were cooking for 6 people ) - beds were extremely uncomfortable and squeaking - no hairdryer as stated

Lovely cottage. Clean and comfy.

Pros: Very quiet. Lovely location with a massive choice of walks nearby for the dogs.

Cons: Previous guests hadn't picked up after their dogs. Grass hadn't been cut on arrival (it did get cut in our 3rd day).

Spacious, comfortable house in lovely countryside

Pros: House was very spacious and very well furnished. All bedrooms were very spacious and beds very comfortable. Very quiet location but plenty to see and do in the area. Plenty of shampoo, shower gel, washing-up liquid provided and a nice bottle of red wine was also welcome. We, as a family group, enjoyed or stay at Daisybank very much - with the exceptions detailed below.

Cons: The garden is large and would have been enjoyable - but the grass was very, very long and badly needing cut. No lock on bathroom door - as mention by others. Less than 2 toilet rolls - for 5 people for 4 nights - not adequate.
