The Off Grid Cabin

Cosy, comfy, clean and very practical place for a getaway.

Pros: It was very cosy once the fire was on and pretty well equipped in the kitchen etc. Great off road, large parking area round the back. Excellent choice of games, nice warm shower, useful enclosed garden area for dogs, lovely warm woodburning stove, lovely walks nearby, comfy bed and duvet, pillows etc. Toilet took a while to get used to but seems like a great watersaving idea. Very clean on arrival. Easy instructions for arrival and entry. Good supply of firewood provided. Would stay again which is always a good thing!

Cons: We were there in very cold weather and the first night there was quite a bit of condensation even though it heated up pretty quickly with the stove.

A lovely peaceful break in the rolling countryside of Aberdeenshire

Pros: Great location surrounded by farmland, we even got to watch some harvesting of crops while there. Lots of space for our dog to run around in a secure garden.

Cons: The mattress was a little too firm for our liking but that’s personal preference. The area under the tree in the garden was overgrown so our dog kept coming back covered in plant life after sniffing around, he’s only short so we couldn’t see what he was up to.

Perfect little cabin

Pros: Lovely cabin, very comfortable and facilities were spot on. Stunning views when sat on the sofa and looking over miles of Scottish countryside. Location meant we could travel in any direction to get to see a lot of the places of interest. Within an hour we were at the beach, or walking through a forest, or a waterfall. Just want we were looking for in a base point.

Cons: I drew the short straw and got the sofa bed. The main bed was very comfortable so I missed out. That was the only downside for me.

Pros: It was such a wonderful and quiet few days away from the city. The space itself was amazing!!! Comfy sofa and bed - great facilities too. A lovely bottle of wine was left for us as well which was lovely. Never cold! The power was great and have zero problems with it. Very comfy space for the 3 of us. We took our big dog with us and he had the best time lying in front of the fire and watching the birds. Only thing I would say are the fences are super high so be careful if your dog likes to jump fences!

Fantastic stay

Pros: We had a fantastic one night stay at the cabin. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Very peaceful, quiet location and close to Insch. Handy to have the enclosed secured garden for our dog.

Tranquility and elegance in a beautiful spot.

Pros: Brilliant concept. Almost brand new, contemporary and generously furnished. The bifold doors add an element of wow factor. The beautiful and incredibly peaceful location are just what was needed after a long working week. Spotlessly clean and inviting. Perfect hosts provided a professional and contactless check in with very detailed info provided in a timely manner. Top marks.

Cons: Dont change a thing. Its perfect.

Peaceful and Perfect

Pros: We spent the last few days of our road trip at the cabin – the perfect spot to unwind and look back on all the great memories. The place had everything we needed and was super clean. The fireplace made it extra cozy, and the welcome bottle of wine was such a nice touch! Thanks for an awesome stay – we loved every minute of it!

Pros: We enjoyed a relaxing couple of nights at this lovely cabin. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Loved the log burner which heated the whole cabin, keeping it nice and cosy. Cons: Everything was perfect!

A lovely weekend away to rest in a tranquil and peaceful setting.

Pros: The cabin was great, well fitted out with everything you would need. A nice touch of a bottle of wine left for us to enjoy. Fenced garden was great for our two wee pups… It was a quiet and peaceful location. Warm and cosy and the log burner was just lovely in the dark evenings.

Cons: Nothing really….

Pros: Loved the log burner, and the open skies stargazing was outstanding! :)
