Ballifeary House

Highly recommend Ballifeary House. Perfect place to stay in Inverness.

Pros: Great hosts, lovely house, and very nice fresh breakfast. Fraser was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and sights. His advice helped us use our time in Inverness to prioritise what we wanted to do/see, and his suggestions were excellent. Milly and Marley (the golden retrievers) were a delightful icing on the cake. :)

Cons: The mattress in our room was a little firm for me, but that's a very personal thing and probably wouldn't be an issue for others.

Pros: Beautiful guesthouse in a quiet environment. Big and comfortable room. Delicious breakfast. Wonderful, very helpful and knowledgeable host.

Cons: Depending on the weather, the guesthouse can seem very far 🤭

Pros: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Stay! Our stay at this guest house was absolutely wonderful! The host, Mr. Fraser, was exceptionally kind and took great care of us throughout our visit. The house and room were beautifully maintained, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious — easily one of the best we’ve had during our travels. The location couldn’t have been more ideal, with easy access to nearby attractions. Free parking was an added bonus that made our stay even more convenient. Highly recommend this place — we would love to come back!

Pros: It wasn't made clear that breakfast was included on our rate . It was delicious, especially the pancakes!

Cons: Wasn't able to close the window , the owner said it was being addressed though.

Great Host

Pros: Absolutely spotless accommodation. The breakfasts were delicious and well presented. The best part was the owner Fraser, who was so helpful giving us suggestions for places to go and restaurants, which were spot on each time. When we had to miss breakfast to go on an early day tour, he gave us a substantial packed lunch instead.

Cons: The bedroom was rather small and there was no guest lounge, just the dining room.

Pros: We had such a lovely stay. Our host mr Fraser was very kind and welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the beds felt like clouds. Every morning, a delicious breakfast was served, which you could choose from a menu the day before (included). The area was nice, parking available and enough shops or sightseeing within walking distance. Would highly recommend staying here!

Pros: Lovely Victorian villa in the heart of Inverness near all the restaurants and bars. Great breakfast and the host, Fraser couldn’t have been more helpful providing local information and advice on where to stop off on the NC500.
