Pros: The location, building and apartment were special.

Cons: The size of beds and hence level of comfort were poor. There was only a double bed in the main bedroom. No coffee machine. Speed of response to queries.

Pros: Spacious and quiet. Quirky decor with 20 stags heads down the corridor. First place we stayed that had both a corkscrew and a way to make non instant coffee.

Cons: A bit dark but that's part of the style.

Just a really wonderful surprise - what a treat to stay in such a beautiful historic building in such incredible surroun

Pros: It was massive and unique and in such a wonderful location

Cons: The decor could have been a bit better - some of it was very random. Far too many dead animals for our taste!

A great place to relax and unwind

Pros: Tranquil and stunning location. Easy access to the mountains and into Braemar. The apartment was very spacious and every window had a good view. Great facilities and very comfortable all round.

Cons: Although in a unique setting, the apartment was relatively expensive.
