Birchwood Cottage

Cosy, spotless cottage in a great location and excellent value for money

Pros: The property was spacious and very well equipped. The kitchen had everything you could think of. It’s was spotless. Towels were soft and fluffy. Tea \u0026 coffee provided. It was well decorated and cosy. Sofas were comfortable. Plenty of parking. An outside seating area under cover. And detached so although we were alongside the main house, it felt private and secluded.

Cons: Being picky I’d say the bedroom could easily accommodate a king size bed. We are not used to a double bed so it was a bit small for us. Pillows could be softer. The summer duvet was still on the bed so we used 2 duvets as we are soft southerners, not used to the chilly Highland temperatures. This wouldn’t stop me from staying here again or recommending the cottage.

Cozy, homely and convenient

Pros: The place was very brightly lit and it immediately gave a very warm and welcoming feeling. The cottage is built in a very homely style with cozy feeling. The host stocked it with all essentials needed for a comfortable stay. Its location is perfect as it’s not too close to the bustling, busy city centre yet was close enough to all important view points, major attractions like Lochness, dolphin point, city centre and convenience stores.

Cons: Nothing’ everything was better than expected.

A wee hidden forest gem

Pros: Birchwood Cottage is a hidden gem nestled in a forest. The house is beautiful that offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bedroom along with the balcony offered a beautiful restorative retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We will definitely stay here again.

Cons: I couldn't fault anything.

Perfect for 2 adults and 1 child. Host was really helpful and pleasant

Pros: Nice and clean and comfortable. Lovely wee balcony off the upstairs bedroom. Nice secluded location perfect for exploring the local area

Would recommend and stay again

Pros: Very good communication and very helpful owner of the property. Very clean and tidy in every room. Had all facilities that were needed. Very good location if you are travelling by car, very quiet area exactly what I was looking for for our family trip. Equally close enough to Inverness just a few minute drive to all the shops.

Superb place to stay on the Black Isle.

Pros: The property is very well maintained, in fact it is immaculate and has everything that you need for a short stay! It is also very convenient for day trips.

Cons: It was all great but automatic lights for when you return at night would be beneficial.

Pros: Tutto bellissimo e perfetto....comodo a Inverness e alle escursioni nelle highland.... Pace e silenzio per chi cerca tranquillità dopo una giornata stancante.

Pros: Ci è piaciuto proprio tutto. Posizione ottima e spazi adeguati alle nostre esigenze. Davvero tutto perfetto

Logement tout confort !

Pros: Logement impeccable, propre, équipé, tout confort avec un extérieur. Je recommande!

Cons: La literie anglaise est assez molle. Logement isolé, la voiture est nécessaire pour se déplacer.
