Just off the Square... Ballater

A lovely, hassle-free stay.

Pros: The property was much larger than it had seemed in the pictures, so that was a pleasant surprise. Equipped with all sorts of little things you might need, like toilet paper, salt and pepper, tea and coffee, dishwasher tablets etc.. Cosy living room, quirky crockery, excellent location. We had an issue with the electricity at one point, and the host dealt with it in a timelyand helpful manner.

Cons: The beds were unfortunately rather uncomfortable.

Great holiday in a lovely comfortable flat in a great location.

Pros: The flat was comfortable and suited us very well. Location was central and convenient. On the listing it said no WiFi. But there was, so that was a nice surprise. Overall we rather enjoy this place and our holiday. Would definitely stay here again.

Cons: There was nothing to complain about. We would suggest someone looks at the shower door as it kept opening when shower in use and an extra towel would be nice.

Overall it was great and I would recommend it to others, with the proviso mentioned above.

Pros: Size of the property was great. Location was excellent. Well equipped.

Cons: No instructions booklet or guest welcome manual explaining where things are and how they work ie couldn’t work out where the heating control was as it got very cold one day but we coukdn’t put the heating on.

Homely flat right in the centre

Pros: Spacious and well equipped. Great location. Easy parking.

Cons: Wee bit rough around the edges but absolutely fine for us.

Pros: Gorgeous little flat. Lovely sized living room and two good sized bedroom. Staff were very easy to get hold of. Lovely and warm. Nice bath and kitchen.

Cons: The bed’s weren’t the comfiest. They were fine for us but if you have a bad back maybe they wouldn’t be great?

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day stay. Just Off the Square had everything we needed. Great value.

Pros: Very close to bars, cafes, restaurants, chippy, supermarket, information centre, local shops, electric car charger, and good walks. Effective heating once we understood it. Spacious and comfortable. Well-equipped kitchen.

Cons: Bathroom is small and has little headroom above sink (for brushing teeth), Hot water pressure in tap is a trickle, However the shower is as effective as can be expected from an electric shower.
