Just a few minutes’ walk from Fort Augustus on the edge of Loch Ness, this award-winning lodge offers four-star hostel accommodation with free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Fort William is 30 miles away. The Great Glen Way passes the end of the driveway at Morag's Lodge, and there is cycle storage on site. Inverness can be reached in 45 minutes by car. Breakfast, packed lunches, and evening meals are available. There is also a licensed bar, where you can enjoy a range of drinks and relax beside an open fire. There are a variety of rooms at Morag's Lodge, and most have an en suite bathroom. You can enjoy free tea and coffee making facilities. Children of any age are welcome to stay in private rooms accompanied by a responsible adult, children over 14yrs are welcome to stay in our shared dorm rooms accompanied by a responsible adult. Please note we cannot allow children under the age of 14 years old to stay in shared mixed dorm rooms. Full terms and conditions are available on our website. Dogs are welcome to stay in our private rooms, a £10.00 cleaning charge is applicable per room. Towel hire is available for £1.00 per towel Please note during the off-peak season (November - March) our evening services; reception, bar and evening meals, may not be available. Great place with amazing hospitality

Pros: The staff are great and it's a welcoming place, which caters well for groups. The weekend I was there was the feis, so a lot of musicians, and staff dealt brilliantly with everyone. It's always clean and organised, and a great location for exploring the area.

Cons: Kitchen is quite small if lots of people self catering.

Lovely 100% authentic hostel in great location. Nice staff and a very homely feel.

Pros: Great place. It reminded me of the hostels Ivdtayed in in New Zealand and Australia in my youth.

Cons: If I had to nitpick, the parking area could go with marking stripes to fit more cars in. (People are greedy with space in general)

Pros: We were cycling and it was well below freezing outside, so we were very pleased that the hostel was warm inside with great hot showers. The included breakfast was basic but sufficient.

Welcome refuge on the Great Glen Way

Pros: What a wonderful little place! Morag’s Lodge was a welcome refuge after a long day on the Great Glen Way. The winter season self-check-in procedure was very efficient and worked perfectly. The hostel is also ideally situated for taking advantage of the various cafes, pubs, shops and other amenities available in Fort Augustus. I set off the next day well fed and well rested! I would definitely visit again.

Nice lodge, clean, and well organised

Pros: I paid for a single room with a shared bathroom, but I got put in a room alone with an ensuite. That was a plus. I didn't have high expectations. My one-time experience staying in a hostel accommodation left me not expectant of hygiene and comfort. But Morag's lodge blue, my mind. It was clean and quiet. Everything about self checking was easy. I enjoyed my stay.

Cons: Can't really say I didn't like anything.
