Red Squirrel Cottage

Great little cottage for a getaway

Pros: Cozy. Well furnished. Remote. Welcoming. Good condition.

A perfect retreat to enjoy nature.

Pros: Lovely home, had everything we needed. Great location - loads of walks and amazing woodland play grounds. Had resident red squirrels, peacocks and so many different birds. We even saw an otter in the river Don. The area was stunning with autumnal colours.

Cons: Only stayed 3 nights.

A lovely cottage, surrounded by nature

Pros: The cottage is surrounded by nature and beautiful scenery. When we arrived, the house was warm and clean. The furnishings are characteristic of the cottage and there is beautiful lighting that creates a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and spotless. Even my dog enjoyed the wide open spaces and the beautiful woods surrounding the property.

Cons: The kitchen tap splashes water everywhere. It should be replaced or a filter added so that it doesn't get everything wet. 😊

Idyllic location, perfect peace, comfy beds !

Pros: The location of the property is idyllic. We loved the peace and quiet and the fact it is immersed in nature. The woodland area behind the property is beautiful. Ideally located for trips to the Cairngorms. The beds are super comfy and the bed linen is exquisite. The property was immaculately clean and the facilities were great. We saw the peacocks who lived on the estate and they were feeding on our doorstep. We also saw a red squirrel and a field of red deer in a field nearby. You can't help but feel calm and relaxed in this property. We would definitely recommend it and would definitely return for another visit !

Cons: TV needs replacing as speaker sounds like it's blown. Would have liked a rubber bath mat for safety in the shower. We felt more than four logs for a two day stay in September should have been included, given the price we paid. The log burner is all part of the experience after all.

Lovely Cottage

Pros: The cottage was lovely. Had every detail thought of. Beds were very comfy. We were there during a storm, and it was so cozy. Loved seeing a red squirrel. Holidaying from Australia and really enjoyed our stay.

Cons: Nothing we couldn't fault our stay.

A very relaxing and easy stay.

Pros: Location excellent and central for lots of things to do. Very peaceful and beds very comfy.

Cons: Dogs couldn't be off the lead because of the peacocks. Having an area fenced off for them to run after a ball would be helpful.

Pros: The remoteness of the cottage was idyllic.The nature that surrounds the grounds is supberb. The cottage is cosy and very warm. Everything is where you wanted it to be..

Cons: No ironing board!! So I did it the old fashion way..

Break in Glenkindie

Pros: Loved the location. Walks nearby. Fun for the dogs.

Cons: Faulty pieces of furniture. Lack of wardrobe space

Wonderful Scottish getaway

Pros: Fantastic, really peaceful, would love to stay here again.
