Pros: Thank you for hosting us on our stopover in Tain, a perfect getaway before the season gets underway. Comfortable beds, a lovely upgrade and a very warm Highland welcome made it a special visit.

Great place to stay in Tain, friendly, clean, warm, great breakfast, and great value.

Pros: Good central location, ample private off-road parking, a good welcome/introduction from host, nice clean room, very warm and cosy, good clean bathroom with nice shower, a great breakfast with mixture of fresh fruits, and also a freshly cooked breakfast. Great value and would happily stop here again.

Cons: The only minor issue is that the TV wasn't a smart TV (I think!), it would have been nice to have had access to catch-up TV services.

Pros: Dennis was very helpful and met us on arrival taking the time to explain everything. The room was very comfortable and the Wi-Fi was excellent. The breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked and very enjoyable. A perfect location and just a shame I only visited for work purposes.

Cons: The breakfast room was pretty chilly.

Great, centrally placed and very warm and welcoming

Pros: The house was beautiful, well placed and the owner was very welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious.

Cons: The bed was comfortable but felt quite small. Also the duvet would be better if it were larger as we were cold during the night due to the other person rolling over with the duvet. We have a king size duvet on a double bed at home for that reason.

Excellent good value guest house

Pros: Shandwick House is really convenient for me when travelling to ferry other orkney and this is my 3rd visit...hist always welcoming, room comfortable, excellent breakfast
