Amazing stay, would recommend

Pros: Stunning hotel in Glenshee, perfectly located close to the Glenshee Ski Centre. The setting is beautiful and the customer service was wonderful throughout our stay. Breakfast was amazing, and it’s great that you have the choice of both a bar menu and a restaurant — both serving fantastic food with excellent service. Pet-friendly too, which is always a big bonus. Would happily return!

Pros: Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed sitting by the fires after cold walks and skiing and the food was excellent.

Cons: No draught lager and only one choice of bottled lager.

A hotel that welcomes dogs, not just puts up with them

Pros: We were made to feel welcome even with 2 large dogs. There was a water bowl, treats and poo bags waiting for us in our room. The food, service, rooms and views were exceptional and we can't wait to return.

Cons: The walls were very thin so I could hear other guests coming and going.

Really enjoyed our stay and will be likely to return

Pros: Location is great . Staff are superb and the hotel has a warm feel about it with fires keeping great atmosphere .

Beautiful food, accommodation and service...all nestled within stunning surroundings.

Pros: The comfort of the room was wonderful and the hotel was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was also delicious.

Cons: I would recommend, however, that when offering people to eat in the bar/lounge that better tables are on offer. I found that eating whilst doubled over was very unpleasant and uncomfortable. This is a very unappealing body position to eat with and it made what was a lovely meal somewhat diminished.

Awesome to stay in a castle, a great welcome and great food

Pros: Excellent hospitality team, a roaring fire in reception, a great building that felt like we were staying in the traitors castle and lovely food. This was a treat for us, and we were made to feel special. All the staff were attentive and responsive. We intended to choose from the bar menu, but decided last minute to eat in the restaurant and it was lovely.

Cons: So it's a castle... castles have some draughty corners. The wing we stayed in (!) was beautiful and well heated, but I wouldn't hang about in its corridor. But let's not over-state this - the rooms were warm and we would definitely book there again.

Amazing place to stay

Pros: Lovely location, beautifully decorated and maintained with friendly and helpful staff. Loved everything definitely want to stay again. Recommend all the food it was all amazing.

Cons: My only criticism would be is that it got a bit cold in the night at one point, we stayed end of January for a skiing trip.

Wonderfully relaxing hotel, set in the impressive Cairngorms. Amazing food. We will definitely be staying again.
