Lovely,magical log cabin to spend quality family time

Pros: What a lovely,magical place. Quiet and relaxing no tv so family board games at night. Deirdre was a fabulous host who made it extra special with the homemade bread and jam.

All in all a fantastic weekend. Well worth the money just for the peace and quiet alone.

Pros: Greeted on arrival, and in the middle of a storm. Everything that we needed was available with butter, fresh jam and home baked bread. Although we had internet it was so nice to get away from it all to attend a wedding the following day with the venue only a few miles down the road. Quiet, peaceful and when the sun shone in the morning it was an experience. Host was on hand if needed and kept us up to date as to when she would not be around.

Cons: There are a number of spiders that require to be evicted, but what do you expect for the country? They’re only two things that I would suggest. One would be a handrail for the stairs up to the mezzanine level. My wife did refuse to claim the steps and therefore slept on the pullout couch bed. Even though it wasn’t really needed some sort of television to keep the kids entertained would have been ideal even if it was just the standard channels. But in my opinion, it was nice to get away from it all.

Pros: The cabin was perfect, the host lovely and the adorable Bo'son also made us very welcome! The little personal touches like fresh bread and homemade jam were much appreciated. We loved our stay and will be back.

An excellent property in a beautiful location.

Pros: Our host was lovely and friendly. The property was so cute and we really loved the novelty of living in a 'time home'. It was situated perfectly for us with easy access to the nearby town where our aunt lived as well as being close to beautiful walks. We also loved playing with the owner's dog!

Cons: The mattress was a bit soft for our taste, but that really didn't hinder our enjoyment of our stay.

A hidden gem

Pros: D was fantastic as always, the fact the cabin is stocked with a few food items too is amazing and meant we didn't have to worry about going to find a shop. Beautiful walks nearby and a little (cash) community box filled with duck eggs and honey just up the road.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Pros: Deirdre, the host, was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. She even suggested it might be a good idea, after seeing mum using crutches, that it might be good to put a handrail outside and also in the shower with a fold up seat as well. The mezzanine was great and my niece thoroughly enjoyed it. Location is also great and very close to walks should that be something you enjoy. Lovely quiet location and a nice and cosy place to stay.

Beautiful weekend away from the rat race

Pros: Deirdre is so friendly and little things make a big difference such as bread, butter, milk and local made jam. The location is perfect, peace and quiet yet great for travelling to local sites.

Pros: Wonderful wee cabin, everything we needed. Lovely host and it was delightful to make friends with Bo'sen, who likes dog sausages from the CoOp you'll find them in the pet section 🙂
