Wonderful stay

Pros: Room was beautifully clean and comfortable. I was late due to a puncture. The hosts were incredibly understanding, and made me some food even though the kitchen was closed.

Excellent place to stay

Pros: A very pleasant stay. An interesting place in the middle of nowhere. The room was nice, cozy, and clean. The downside was the staff, who seemed friendly, but when we accidentally entered the wrong place because we were looking for a staff member, the lady got very angry with us and kicked us out in a very rude manner. The next day, we asked for something. I have the impression that the lady did it wrong on purpose to spite us. We felt a bit unwelcome. But the stay itself was very pleasant.

Pros: The Family who run it were super. So friendly, nothing too much trouble. The room was spacious and clean and had little extras such as fresh milk, choc bars! The food in the evening, home made pies from up the road were superb.

Cons: Quite a long way off main road but it was worth it.

The Lodge is ideally situated in a breath taking part of Scotland.

Pros: The location is breath taking, the views are well worth the knuckle drive on the A897 the only single track ‘A’ road I have ever driven. Our room was the best we stayed in in our time in Scotland. Going for a walk at 2200 in day light was something I’ll never forget, that and the true silence. There’s a railway station a short walk from the lodge and you pass the RSPB’s largest centre in the UK. OUTSTANDING. Our evening meal was really good, I had a local pie and breakfast choice was the best of our Scottish trip. The three who own and run this lodge were easy to get on with and after our evening meal we sat and talked for ages, putting the world to rights in this magical setting seemed so natural.

Cons: Limited WiFi but that did not detract from our stay.

Pros: Very peaceful and quiet setting the staff/ownwers were very welcoming the food was amazing 5 Stars would visit again well recomended

Pros: Wow what a remote lodge and beautiful surroundings. Room lovely, clean and plenty tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Bed low bit comfy. Breakfast outstanding
