Buchan Hotel

Great position, good room and staff that go above and beyond to help. Will come again

Pros: Breakfast was booked in advance but on arrival we were told there would be no chef on Christmas morning therefore no breakfast. When I mentioned I had bed and breakfast throughout the stay, we were told there could be a continental breakfast served to our room on 25th. We agreed to this and went to get our bags from the car. On return to the hotel we were told by manager that he could provide us with a cooked breakfast on all days and what time would we like to eat? Obviously a miscommunication that was quickly resolved. Brilliant service

Cons: Room was a little noisy from road traffic until about midnight, but nothing to keep us awake all night. The room was clean and well equipped but the hot water tap was a little hit and miss for turning on/off and the hot water took a very long time to run through “Hot”

Would recommend for business stay

Pros: Staff professional and polite. Rooms clean and tidy, food a bit on the pricey side. But, all in all a good and enjoyable stay

Cons: WIFI could be stronger (signal not good in room)

A great place to stay on our Scottish self driving holiday. Good food, nice people, and good value overall. Quite a find

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff made us feel very welcome. Excellent meal in their restaurant too. Free resident parking was literally straight across the road…couldn’t have been more convenient . Would stay here again 👍🏼🙂

Cons: Nothing…happy in all senses

Would return if required accommodation in area again.

Pros: Very central location. Quiet room. Friendly staff.

Cons: Toilet flush was hard work. Lack of hot chocolate on tea tray. Pointless cushions on the bed - design feature only as buckle on cushion too lumpy to allow use as an actual cushion. Therefore had to just be discarded in a corner.

The hotel was as I expected so no complaints.

Pros: Breakfast excellent. Shower very good. Dinner menu bit basic. Staff very helpful. Parking ideal.

Cons: But traffic noisy but it is at a busy junction and Windows open for air. No lift at my advanced age is a problem perhaps good exercise though.

Great place to stay.

Pros: The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more helpful.,especially the girls in the restaurant.the breakfast was excellent and we had dinner two nights and it was excellent as well. The bar staff were excellent as well, thank you Stewart for your excellent service. Theroom was tidied every day to a high standard as well, thank you to the cleaning staff.I would recomend this hotel to anybody and hope to be back soon.

Pros: I had a really pleasant stay at the Buchan Hotel. The room was clean and the location is great but what stood out most was the service. One of the staff members (I didn't catch her name) was especially friendly and helpful throughout my visit. It’s rare to see that level of consistent service—she really made a difference. I hope management sees the value she brings and considers recognizing her work. Thanks again for a great experience!

Cons: The hair dryer wasn't working. Didn't really need it so it didn't matter.
