Insh Hall Rooms at Loch Insh

In the western region of the Cairngorms National Park, Insh Hall Rooms at Loch Insh provides simple bed and breakfast accommodation at the Loch Insh Outdoor Centre. The centre offers a wide range of sports, a restaurant and bar and free parking and WiFi. Please note Loch Insh will be providing ski and boarding lessons throughout the winter at their dry slope and on the hill - please contact the property for details Each room includes a wardrobe and tea and coffee facilities. Some rooms have their own bathroom, while others have the use of shared facilities. The Boathouse Restaurant has stunning views of the Spey Valley. Perfect get away and enjoy the dry ski slope to get snow ready .

Pros: It’s a beautiful area. Peaceful tranquil and idyllic. Good food and plenty do do and be at one with nature.

Cons: There are some pretty steep steps up to the hall. Could do with a little more light at the top bit in the winter time.

Ideal location, reasonable price, definitely would stay again!

Pros: The property was clean, tidy and in an ideal location for the outdoor activities we had planned.

Cons: There was a problem with the heating the night we stayed so the room was pretty cold but it wasn’t unbearable. Simply could have been warmer given the -7 conditions outside

Pros: Location, comfortable beds. Restaurant and bar were ideal.

Cons: Rooms not as shown on advertising eg a little bit out of date, shower was lacking any pressure. I would describe accomodation at best as basic. The common room could do with a kitchen sink to make it a bit more functional.

Pros: Location hard to beat. Friendly helpful staff hard to beat.

Cons: Breakfast was very disappointing. Lovely staff, and very helpful, but choice of breakfast extremely limited to sugar loaded cereals, 'plastic bread' - not literally!, and fat-loaded fry-ups in a sandwich. The staff made up for the very limited selection 😊

Pros: The overall place was good. The restaurant had good food and service. Even though we weren't using the facilities as was just a base.for us to commute into aviemore for thi der in the glen weekend. Staff were very welcoming.

Amazing.

Pros: The staff was amazing and very helpful. The food was really nice and we just had a fabulous time.

Cons: There was a chemical smell in the room - a bit like moth balls or similar so we had to keep the window open and all our clothes smelled of it but otherwise it was brilliant.

Happy stay

Pros: Overall it was a pleasant experience, the property was clean and I really liked the location if you like to be in the nature. Very close to Loch Inch and loads of things to do around. I got at the property late at night due to train delays and they were kind enough to keep the keys inside the room and gave me the details of my room earlier that day as the reception closes in the evening. There was sitting area with pool and other games and a TV for chilling in the evening. I would recommend this place and would definitely be back 😊

Cons: Rooms could be a bit more clean - there were spider webs hanging in the corners of the roof and windows. I booked family room, beds were comfortable but narrow. Barely much space to turn, could be difficult for a person with huge physique. A small kitchen area could be of great help as there are not much option for food and grocery in the area. 30 mints walk from the bus station if you don’t have your own car.

Pros: Insh Hall is a great place for families and the loch is perfect for swimming as well as water sports. The Boat House restaurant is fantastic and we had breakfast and dinner there almost every day.
