Lovely cottage in centre of village with free on-street parking

Pros: Lovely village location close to amenities. Bright colourful decor and quirky decorations. Well equipped kitchen. Nice wood burning stove. Lovely personal touches with the wine and coffee/tea/biscuits provided.

Cons: Headroom in the main bedrooms was restricted. No bedside tables. No upstairs toilet. Tiny second bathroom/wetroom with nowhere to put toiletries etc. Blue sofa in sitting room not at all comfortable. Could not get the heating to work.

Wonderful

Pros: Fabulous little cottage in a wonderfully friendly village. Great for access to all that the area has to offer and so central in the village but on a quiet street. We will definitely be back.

Cons: Nothing can be faulted about this lovely place. Only thing would be we wished we had booked longer.

This was a great base from which to explore the remarkable area around Ballater.

Pros: This property is in a really good location. The kitchen was well equipped and the showers very good. The property has a good heating system. Parking was never a problem.

Cons: The two bedrooms in the converted attic space are cramped. The sloping ceilings made it difficult to move around and led to many head bumps.
