North Coast Property - 17 Margaret Street - Avoch

Very comfortable and relaxing.

Pros: Lovely feel to the property. Comfortable. Fabulous location, weather was very kind to us too. Thank you.

Cons: House was a bit cool on the first night as heaters weren't switched on (white meter / storage heaters) but sorted for the rest of our stay. No firelighters, and no kindling/logs in basket but plenty in the outside store. Very handy having the Scotmid just round the corner. Boiler a bit noisy in the double bedroom, but I'm a light sleeper ( didn't bother my husband) 🤣

A lovely week in a very comfortable cottage.

Pros: Location was excellent with easy access to seashore. Facilities were excellent but room for improvement in the kitchen. A teapot and smaller/lighter mugs would have been appreciated!

Cons: Unfortunately the house next door was having work done on the gable wall, which meant workmen and noise. Absolutely outwith the host's control and just bad luck for our stay. Our dogs were spooked by hi-vis vests!

Pros: The location was brilliant ,log fire was lovely of a night x Handy for shops \u0026 takeaways

Cons: The scalding water, grandson had to be very careful as we all had too Could do with a few smaller cups, mugs a bit on the chunky side

Pros: Location to other areas Cleanliness and comfort Good walks for dogs on doorstep

Pros: This is a lovely traditional cottage which has been beautifully modernised \u0026 suited us well - 2 adults \u0026 our wee dog + a few day-time visitors. This part of Avoch is particularly lovely with the stoney beach \u0026 Moray Firth at the end of the street. There is a shop for day-to-day cooking needs, etc \u0026 a couple of takeaways within 3 minutes walk. The locals were friendly a couple of people stopped just to chat. Having the enclosed paved garden / yard was great for our wee dog \u0026 small grandkids, even in November. Would be extra good in the summer. I am just about to book another stay so that really says it all.

Cons: Just a reminder really that there isn't a toilet upstairs by the bedrooms which is a bit of a hassle if you're up through the night. We knew this when we booked \u0026 it didn't really bother us. Avoch was built long before cars so we decided to unload the car then park it at the bottom of the street rather right outside a neighbours door or window. The car was quite happy being parked at the seawall. .

Nice cottage for a family!

Pros: Nice cottage, houses a family perfectly fine, close to shore

Cons: It was very warm in the bedroom due to the boiler being there. We couldn’t sleep in the room without the windows fully open. If it rains, that becomes a bit of a problem.

Pros: Excellent little house with everything you need, clean and just lovely.

A lot of thought has gone in to make this cottage comfortable for guests.

Pros: Stylishly decorated, very clean with everything you need and more! I would definitely recommend and go back.

Cons: We liked everything. For tall people you have to be careful upstairs.

Cons: Couches look great but not supportive now. Cutlery of very poor quality and not easy to use.

Pros: The situation was beautiful. Loved the village. Local amenities excellent. The cottage had all we needed.

Cons: The stairs were a bit awkward as I have damaged my leg but they were managable. A teapot would have been great.
