Romantic cabin escape

Pros: You're in the heart of whiskey territory. Location was lovely - you're far enough away from main towns that you can truly feel at peace and switch off. There is a petrol station 15 mins from The Dell, so you can get any emergency 'bits'. The host, Paul, was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. We arrived late in the evening because of challenges with the snow, but he regularly checked in on us to make sure we were okay.

Cons: The sheer amount of snowfall during our stay made the journey quite treacherous. There isn't a handrail or clear steps to use, so if you have large bags and it snows, you'll have a challenging time. Also, there isn't anywhere to hang your clothes, so pack light. The bed is very soft.

A beautiful cabin and peaceful getaway !

Pros: The Dell is a stunning location, and our cabin was the epitome of comfort and coziness. Tucked away among the birch trees, it offered a wonderful sense of seclusion—perfect for a peaceful getaway. A major bonus is the cabin is dog-friendly and our dogs loved the open area around to explore ! We also appreciated that the cabin was well-stocked with firewood, with even more conveniently located just down the track and because it was Christmas the owner left us a lovely Christmas card, Christmas crackers and bottle of Prosecco ! The bed was too comfy and made leaving a difficult choice ! I would recommend this location to everyone looking to unplug and have a relaxing getaway.

Pros: It was the perfect getaway. The cabin was so clean and cosy. Perfectly equipped with everything you could need. The host sent a message before the stay with clear instructions of how to get there, recommendations of local attractions and you can tell this place is ran with love and care.

Cons: Shower ventilation is not that great. But just open a window.

Great place to stay for peace, quiet and a lovely fire!

Pros: Peaceful and private stay - wonderful waking up to the trees and our only neighbour was a curious pheasant! Food from Mac \u0026 Cats was amazing - so easy! Dropped to your door and picked up from your door (you just take the plates out and eat the food).

Pros: Everything. Location was amazing and peaceful, cabin was exceptional super warm and cosy and quiet with great views.The outdoor bath is amazing.

Cons: Nothing. Everything was exceptional we had the best time

Brilliant stay in the Gleann lodge!

Pros: Our lodge was the one called Gleann. It was perfectly secluded from the others. The bath outside is absolutely brilliant (whilst listening to the fire crackle and having a drink). There are so many amazing things around to see and do. We managed to take in so many sights in the 2 nights (to 3 days) we spent at The Dell. I will definitely be back!

Cons: I really can't fault much at all. The bed was possibly too comfortable... didnt want to get out of it! The only things I could think of is that the road to the cabin could have been smoother. Oh and possibly somewhere inside to hang a couple of jackets would be a good addition?
