Pros: Made to feel welcome from the start. The room was comfortable and clean and the host very helpful with top tips on travelling Scotland.

Great stop on the nc500

Pros: Really good location, parking eight round the corner. Rooms as described on the website and good value for money. Don't be put off by the exterior the rooms themselves are comfortable and clean.

Comfortable and value for money

Pros: The welcome was friendly and the room was comfortable. We were lucky enough to be staying on a night when there were musicians playing in the bar. The music and banter were excellent. We ate spaghetti bolognese, served with garlic bread, which was great value at £8 each. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.

Cons: As many others have said, the outside is a little of putting, and without the music, the atmosphere in the bar would have been rather dismal. It felt a little odd letting ourselves out the back door in the morning.
