Comfortable quite place, very friendly hosts and a great breakfast. What's not to like?

Pros: As returning guests, we liked the things we liked last time - the comfortable and cultured home that our very friendly hosts share with their guests, the fantastic breakfast and small touches like the fresh milk with your bedroom tea if you ask. No UHT here!

Cons: Unfortunately the light above the bathroom basin was out and our hosts didn't have a spare in stock (and unable to get one late on a Saturday evening when discovered). Only an irritant and just unlucky, but on the up side it did give me an excuse not to shave before we departed. As a general point, and extra shelf or two in the bathroom would have been helpful to enable us to unpack our washbags more fully but no big deal.

Pros: Stylish and comfortable home. Well organized and welcoming hosts. Good walking access to many sites, restaurants, shops and train and bus terminals.

Cons: Very good full Scottish breakfast but could provide maple syrup or other syrup for pancakes. Shower control and multiple controls for the bathroom were confusing. A brief summary and switch labeling would help, for guests not familiar with these systems.

Pros: Very charming room, perfectly clean and cozy. The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and nicely prepared. Great location as well. Big plus for recommending local places to eat – it really made our stay even more enjoyable.

Pros: Strome Lodge is a beautiful guesthouse about a 10 minute walk from the river and city centre. Marion \u0026 Sean are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. They gave us lots of tips for the surrounding area and good recommendations for restaurants and pubs. Our room was very clean and comfortable with the addition of chilled water, fresh milk and some lovely homemade shortbread which we really appreciated. The breakfast was great too. We would definitely stay here again if we were visiting Inverness.
