Nice place

Pros: Nice quiet location but super handy for working nearby. Gud shower. Bed is cosy.

Pros: The house had everything we needed and was the perfect place to stay before our long hike the following day. It’s also very close to the town (about a 15-minute walk) but located in a quiet area, which made it ideal for a restful night.

Cons: The only small downside was that it was a bit difficult to find, and there were no clear instructions about where to park. Luckily, there’s a free parking area very close by, but it’s not allowed to park directly in front of the house (there’s a sign stating this). Other than that, everything was perfect.

Pros: Lovely compact, comfortable and quiet place to stay. Nicely furnished.

Cons: No clear directions for finding the property and parking - only located it finally by recognising it from the photo. Nicely decorated and furnished but could do with a few extra storage options to make life easier for people staying more than just one night and living out of their travel bag. Lacked a number of important items of equipment eg. chopping board, decent kitchen knife, hooks for hanging coats. It would have been difficult to dry out wet hiking gear here. Gave up on the tv as signal strength was too weak.

Well equipped place with a good host

Pros: Comfortable and with all facilities needed for a self-catering stay. Very quiet location. The host was responsive and friendly.

Cons: Could be made easier to find.

Great couple of night stay in cosy well equipped cabin.

Pros: Lovely little cabin, comfy bed and sofa. Kitchenette with toaster,kettle and new microwave - great for a couple of nights. Good shower, plenty hot water.

Cons: No chairs to go with the table on the porch. Not many hooks for clothes - could be a problem if had a lot of wet gear.

Pros: The cabin is in a tranquil central location ideal for exploring the highlands. The cabin is warm and cosy without feeling cramped and is an ideal place to base yourself to explore the highlands. Excellent hosts.

Haven after long, wet day cycling

Pros: Having kitchen facilities was fantastic; there are few dining or shopping options in Lairg so brought our own food. Modern bathroom. Spacious, private cabin. Warm.

Cons: The bed is enclosed on 3 sides making it feel quite small, bumping up against the cold wall was not good for sleep.

Lovely lodge. Very clean and well equipped. Beautiful area.

Pros: Keys easy to locate. Great walks and wildlife on the doorstep. Local cafe was really good. Host very friendly. Quiet and peaceful. Well equipped lodge.

Cons: Finding the lodge was a little tricky…maybe add photos or give more direction?

Lovely self contained cabin

Pros: Clean and cosy and self contained with good use of space. Hot shower and hot water was great. Microwave and crockery useful.

Cons: Young people on motorbikes were revving up and down the otherwise beautiful quiet peaceful road outside the cabin so we couldn't sit outside. Local shops, bars and cafes are not open on Sundays so go prepared.
