Incredibly fun and relaxing weekend getaway with incredible views and welcoming people (and animals)

Pros: Owners were really friendly and approachable, helpful and responded quickly. Location was perfect, right on the A9 which made travel up the coast and to Inverness incredibly easy. Being set on a farm was such a wholesome bonus and the owners let us feed the right animals when we wanted, really gave it an additional feel of fun.

Pros: I don't even know where to start, the auld reekie was perfection for us x inviting, friendly, clean and really comfortable x the views, the hot tub, just what we needed and the animals really were the cherry on top for us. We wish we'd booked longer and will definitely be back x

Pros: Beautiful little property in a lovely location. Hot tub was a delight in such tranquil surroundings.

Pros: Property is nice and easy to find, communication and instructions from hosts were great, the property was beautiful with nice little things to do on site. The lodge consists of an ample kitchen for a weekend away, a bathroom with a very well sized shower and a lounge/bedroom area with a beautiful log burner which we sadly couldn’t use as the weather was so hot.

Cons: It is more a personal taste but the pillows were a little soft for me, if you’re use to a firmer pillow the I would advise to fold over one pillow to help stiffen it up.

Lovely and cosy house with a peaceful location, impossible not to relax in that amazing jacuzzi it was just the perfect

Pros: We had a long journey with adventures that weren't all that great (we had a car accident right after leaving Glasgow) but when we got there and saw our house I couldn't stop smiling, the house was like from my dreams everything was clean and cozy I didn't even expect it to be so great! the owners were very friendly, open and helpful especially Claire who I had the pleasure of meeting in person a wonderful person!!! but that's not all in the morning we went for a walk with coffee and we had the privilege of meeting the rest of the household chickens .. geese ... ducks ... goats and ponies something Peaceful !

Perfect couples getaway

Pros: This is the perfect place for a couples getaway. We visited for 2 nights and couldn’t fault the place! Upon request, Paul kindly arranged for some balloons to be blown up in the house for my partners birthday which was lovely. The robes and slippers are a nice touch and great for coming out the hot tub. We also loved the fire which was very easy to use! The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking in or ordering takeaway. We found that very few takeaways accept online orders (card) so would suggest having cash with you. 88 Chinese takeaway is delicious! The animals on the property are very friendly and come up to the fence when they see you coming. We visited the Black Rock Gorge and Dalmore Farm Restaurant for lunch which are both a must! Would highly recommend this place.

Cons: The shower pressure could be a little bit stronger but we found everything else to be perfect!

Pros: Loved the location, the area and the Lodge was excellent

Cons: The hot tub was cold, and I didn't stay in it. The shower wasn't good, and it went between freezing and burning. The hot tub wasn't the owners fault it seemed to be the previous holiday makers that turned the temperature down.

Was a good weekend had quality time with partner was quiet and relaxing

Pros: I liked that the property was quiet, The animals , the hot tub being private was good aswell.

Cons: More instructions about departure i.e where bins are to go and where to leave the key.

lovely, homely and cozy place for a weekend away!

Pros: Wow!! What an amazing place. I 110% recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice and relaxing stay away! The location is great - not too far away from anything but also makes you feel like you are so far away from everything. The view from the Auld Reekie is so nice and relaxing too. Hot tub is great, the wood burning fire inside is so cozy and completes the night after being in the hot tub outside!!

Cons: I was scared of the chickens initially when we arrived but all animals are so lovable, so really I warmed to them by the end of our stay!
