Good stay and great location

Pros: Great location and price. Loved our chalet as it was cozy, comfy and spacious. Will be back

Cons: Not much, sadly the pool was out of order but the sauna and steam room were nice and you can use a pool elsewhere in their group. If anything the fridge could have done with a clean as sticky stuff Inside but that is a very minor thing, as the rest of the place was clean 😁

Pros: Chalet was ideally situated, very clean and comfortable.

Cons: Swimming pool was closed for maintenance which was a shame given it was school half term. There was free access to the other Macdonald Hotel pool but it was busy and not as convenient.

Pros: Handy location with good access to the mountains and local attractions

Cons: Some updates to the accommodation had obviously be done, hopefully the bathrooms will be next.

ideal location for plenty to do!

Pros: The location was simply ideal : on a gold course, plenty of dog walk around the golf course, in the middle of trees...at walking distance to Aviemore shopping street, local coffees....25mn drive away to Cairngorm Mountain for skiing or any other sports activities.... Just perfect. The bed linens were cleaned and the beds very comfortable. At the resort center, you can find a pool, gym...The center organises a schedule for several family activities. it is simply lovely.

Cons: The chalet was dated, which is itself is not much of a problem as long as it is maintained clean and comfortable. It was not dramatically dirty but enough for me to want to do a once over : I always travel with antibac wipes which became handy to go over the splash backs on walls, curtains, doors and going over the fridge. The carpet need a deep clean...urgently...if not to be changed....

Comfortable, great value and would highly recommend

Pros: Great location, good price, friendly and helpful staff, lovely apartment with everything we needed, overall a great place to stay!

Cons: The pool was unfortunately not open for the duration of the stay but that is not anyone’s fault and that was the only downside

Amazing accommodation!

Pros: We booked a 3 bedroom extra spacious apartment, and it did not disappoint. I was a bit wary due to the bad reviews. But the apartment (Morlich Lodge 17) was immaculate. It was spacious and clean with a sauna and log fire. The only downside was the lack of resort facilities. The pool onsite was closed due to a boiler issue and the games room contained broken machines and was at a sub zero temperature. We were allowed to use the sister resort pool but the pool was so cold that the kids wanted to leave, which was a pity as it had a wave machine and small flume. Overall though, the accommodation was so good, that we have booked to return!

Cons: The lack of available facilities that were advertised. No pool, sauna or useable games room. If you have young kids and are wanting facilities onsite, then I'd maybe consider elsewhere. Perhaps the Aviemore resort would be better suited.

Pros: Our annual February Aviemore trip this year was slightly different, we stayed at The MacDonald Spey Valley Resort for a wee change! A thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing, quiet yet close to amenities place for anyone! Swimming and sauna everyday at the big complex and a gym, Lots of areas to walk and close enough for a visit to the cairngorms and the mountainous snow drifts! Our one bedroom apartment had a quality finish to it, clean, warm and really spacious! Each apartment has its own sun room and furniture for very pleasant early morning coffe! Ours had Patio doors to the rear with garden furniture and some had a small enclosed garden with nice views! They even have tree house apartments!!! (Maybe not suitable for our pup!) our apartment was beautiful!

Cons: The pool was out of commission with a faulty boiler but we could use the pool and sauna at the main complex free of charge and it was lovely!

Lovely chalets in a nice resort

Pros: Nice and roomy with a lovely lounge room with patio and enclosed sunroom. Bathroom was clean and the bed was really comfortable. I didn’t eat at the country club and the pool was out of action

Cons: I was really disappointed to learn on arrival that the swimming pool was out of action due to a boiler issue. They do allow you to use the pool at the hotel in the Aviemore centre but it wasn’t very convenient as it’s a 10 min drive instead of a 2 min walk.

Most stunning lodge I've ever stayed in and will definitely want the same one next year

Pros: I have to admit my stay here was the best ever place I've ever stayed, honestly the place was amazing I actually don't want to leave my lodge, I really loved my lodge so much and I come up here every year so will definitely be staying here again and asking for number 4 Alvie lodge again.Thank you so much

Pros: Plenty of space for family of 4. Clean \u0026 heated in advance of arrival.

Cons: No hot running water for the first night , but sorted out in the morning by site maintenance. Electric shower impossible to control from very cold to very hot water. Could not set at a sensible temperature.
