Great stay in a good hotel with friendly staff

Pros: Great loction in town,walking distance to all amenities. Has a bar and a restaurant excellent value for money definitely recommended. Very pleasant staff and management couldn't do enough for you runs the establishment brilliantly.

Cons: A few things need updating but they are in the middle of refurbishment so understood apart from that all good.

Pet friendly and ideal stay if you are in the area.

Pros: Pet friendly room. The staff were very friendly and the evening meal was gorgeous .The staff were willing to cook a sausage for the dog but we had fed her already. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The new management are in the process of a refurb , painting etc . There were a lot of stairs to get to our room so maybe not suitable if you have mobility issues.

Cons: The carpet could be doing with replacing but this may be part of the refurb. The email from booking.com to say put used towels in the bath came through too late to action as we checked out at 9am and the email came at 1003am.

Pros: Our room was lovely and clean right in the centre of town and the staff were very helpful the manager couldn't do enough for us made us very welcome.I would definitely recommend this hotel especially for the food which was delicious and a a very good price.

Cons: The shower wasn't very powerful and the shower door needed fixing but they are in the middle of a refurbishment so we understood that the small issues would be taking care of.

Pros: This hotel / pub was a delightful surprise. Our room was spacious and comfortable, including the bed. The hotel has character, and the bar area is a good little pub frequented by locals. We really enjoyed this little town. P.S. The 'Aspire' restaurant a few minutes walk from the hotel offers exceptional food, fine dining style, at excellent prices.
