Belvedere Holiday Home

The Belvedere was a very comfortable base for exploring an interesting area.

Pros: The location was close to the water with a view from the kitchen across the bay to the harbour. This was very pleasant in the morning and while eating breakfast. The cottage was warm, comfortable and pleasantly decorated. There is a food shop in the village that sells most things. There is a lot to see in Moray. The coast has plenty of beaches good for swimming and a lot of spectacular rock formations like the Bow Fiddle. We also enjoyed visiting Duff House, Peterhead Prison (not joking, it was very thought provoking), the Tarlair Lido and Fyvie Castle.

Cons: We planned to mix self catering with eating out. It turned out that many eateries in the village and wider area were closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Pros: Lovely clean cottage in an amazing spot, if you like watching the sea you couldn't find any where better.

Cons: Nothing except having to leave and come home!

A homely cottage in an excellent location.

Pros: It was an excellent location with a spectacular view of the shore from the dining table window and two top quality restaurants specialising in seafood nearby. Nice walks along the waterfront to the marina. Ideal location for exploring the north east coastal villages and coastline.

Cons: There was a few spiders in the house but probably no more than can be expected in a rural property of this age. Disappointed that the open fireplace wasn't available for use - this would have been the icing on the cake.

Pros: The property was very welcoming and homelike. A home from home indeed!

Cons: Nothing, it was all great.

Beautiful views, cozy little town, friendly local people, relaxing after hiking in the highlands

Pros: The house was well equipped, on a nice spot on in the bay, clean. Also liked how there were instructions everywhere on how to use the electrics and stuff - different with us in the NL

Pros: Second visit and just as nice as before. Comfortable,warm with wonderful views of the bay and out to sea.

Pros: Wonderfull cottage by the sea in a peaceful old fishing village. Good location, easy to explore the surroundings. Lots of good hiking trails and cafes in surrounding towns.

Cons: There were insects (Isopods?) running on the floor in the cabin. There were also large house spiders running around, perhaps hunting those insects. They probably cannot be avoided in a building like this. It didn't really bother me, but my wife wasn't very happy, even though she loved the cottage otherwise.

Pros: Warm cosy comfortable home. Lots of thought and consideration by owner given to guests needs. Excellent supermarket, seafood restaurant \u0026 pub all within walking distance. Friendly village lots of beautiful walks nearby

Cons: Not a place for tall people shower was low placed under the stairs but still a nice wee place
