Lock Keepers Cottage

Pros: The views out of cottage we love everything about it, its the second time we have stayed here when visiting family definitely be booking again soon

Pros: Perfect cottage comfortable cosy and well equipped. Quiet location beautiful walks on doorstep . Fantastic food available in cafe next door. Lovely garden . We will definitely be back

Cons: A strong sewage smell outside . Not sure if this was from farm or the sewage system from restaurant across road.

Great cottage right on the canal

Pros: The cottage was lovely and warm when we arrived, 3 good sized en suite rooms, location right beside the canal with a nice flat walk into Inverness, would definitely recommend, plenty room for 6 adults.

Cons: Coffee machine didn't work, didn't find the oven trays until our last night, after we'd cooked the supper, they are on top of the fridge, couldn't find an oven glove, not enough dmall glasses for drinks, all small things but better that you know about them snd certainly wouldn't stop us from booking again

Pros: Fabulous quiet location not far from the city which you can easily get to by car, bus or walk up the canal.

Cons: No instruction for the induction oven and hob, not everyone has one!

Had a lovely short break with friends enjoying exploring around Inverness, Great Glen way and the canal.

Pros: The location was nice, easy access from the roads, nice restaurant/shop nearby although we were not around in daylight hours to visit. It was clean, very warm, comfy beds and very warm quilts, nice fluffy towels and bathrooms for each bedroom making it good for multiple couples to stay in a house together. Appreciated having the fenced off garden space too.

Cons: Couldn’t fault the property and facilities

Pros: So much more spacious than on the pictures. Really cosy and excellent standard throughout

Cons: The only issue we had was the fire kept blowing out smoke into the room so we stopped using it to be safe. More instructions on this would’ve been helpful

Gorgeous, warm and welcoming cottage.

Pros: A beautiful cottage in an equally beautiful setting. Very cosy living room/kitchen area, especially with the log burner blazing. The property was warm and welcoming and of very good value for late Autumn. Perfect spot for those wanting to be near Inverness but away from the noise of the city. Also great for those exploring Loch Ness and who wish to take the Jacobite ferry (who own the cottage as well). Very friendly staff in the cafe and shop next to the cottage. We plan on visiting again next year.

Cons: Nothing at all, we were very happy.

AMAZING!!! Most comfy beds \u0026 plenty of character

Pros: AMAZING! This little place is so nice! The perfect place to stay in the Highlands It has so much character, is beautifully decorated and the rooms are very spacious and bathrooms a great size. The best accommodation \u0026 most comfortable bed for our entire 6 week trip, it was so comfy I didn't want to get out of it! Great location with great view. Highly recommend!

Throughly enjoyed our short stay and would be delighted to return in the future.
