Rosemount Bothy - Highland Cottage

Loved this beautiful Bothy

Pros: Location with walks from front door, the look of the property and coziness.

Loved the cosy welcome the Bothy gave us!

Pros: The moment we stepped through the door of the Bothy we loved it. It has such a warm feel about it. Compact but perfect for a few nights stay.

Pros: This in my opinion was the best little compact holiday stay location you could ever ask for. Not the largest accommodation but the owner utilises every piece of space so well. They thought of every little thing that you could ask for to make your stay home from home. It really would be hard to think of something you may need that they didn't provide. The price of the stay for how well equipped and how comfortable the Bothy was extremely reasonable. It felt so homely that my wife and myself honestly didn't want to leave. I don't think any reasonable person would not enjoy how comfortable and relaxing the accommodation is.. Thanks to all involved.

Cons: Going home

Beautiful and cosy cottage, perfect for two

Pros: The cottage is beautiful. Well and cosy equipped, although very small. Absolutely ideal for two people. Upstairs were two separate beds and nice bathroom. Downstairs one room with very well equipped kitchen and a sofa, which serves as a bed for another two people. The sofa was comfortable, but very very squeeky, the springs under the mattress were very loud as one turned in the bed. And there are not many places to store our own luggage and stuff. But we stayed just for 3 nights and it was manageable. Parking behind the house, very quiet neighborhood, perfect location for exploring Little Wyvis, Inverness or Ullapool. The hosts are very kind and nice people.

Pros: Everything...it was clean,comfy \u0026 cozy. Bothy was lovely inside,everything we needed was there. Good walks for the dogs.

Perfect stay in this cosy bothy!

Pros: Rosemount Bothy was fantastic…great location for walks and hiking Ben Wyvis, well-equipped with everything we needed, and very comfortable, clean and cosy! We appreciated the sweet treat and wine gift for arrival, and all the little touches that made it feel a home away from home.

Cosy, homely, everything I needed

Pros: Great location for lochs, munros, seaside, escaping, all from a perfect cosy base

Cute and cozy wee Bothy that makes a wonderful jumping off spot to explore The Highlands.

Pros: Wonderful location in the Highlands. Beautifully presented wee Bothy that was very clean and cozy. Great natural fire combined with radiators made for a warm homestay. Although petite, the use of space was extremely efficient and we quickly adapted to our lovely little Bothy. Plenty of fuel for the fire, warm comfy beds, and some homecooked food made for 4 wonderfully memorable nights. Plenty of places to visit less than 20 miles away. If the weather is good, the outdoor decking would be great to spend an evening. The WiFi was grand and the all amenities worked as supposed to. Our host had supplied ample maps and local information which we used to plan our walks. The countryside is gorgeous and the surrounding villages have plenty of amenities to get by. Couldn't have been better.

Cons: We could only spend 4 nights here, oh, and the weather was a typical Scottish spring (but we can't blame that on the Bothy!). It's not a 'dislike' but be aware that space is limited inside. We had 2 kids (11 and 14) and it was fine but we had to spend a bit of time to adjust to the surroundings.

Stunning cottage

Pros: Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Very well equipped, clean and cosy. We had a great time visiting nearby waterfalls and exploring stunning scenery.

A lovely week hiking the nearby paths and hills but avoiding anything much higher than the snow line

Pros: Very helpful host. We were travelling by public transport (mostly train) so the host recommended shopping in Inverness during the break in journey between trains. The host also provided an acoustic guitar which was a lovely extra for our evenings in front of the fire. We also found ourselves in need of a small sewing kit, the host provided one.

Cons: The Host and the property were perfect, the only thing that would have been nicer could have been better bus connections (not within the scope of our lovely host!) to places that we wanted to hike from, but, having said that, we managed pretty well on the train.
