Magnificent coastal view

Excellent location and excellent apartment

Pros: The views from the living room were excellent. All the facilities in the house were very good.

Cons: It was very cold outside and slightly cold inside despite adjusting the heating.

Wonderful midwinter break!

Pros: Wonderfully warm and cosy inside, with deep comfy sofas and even a fireplace! Comfortable beds and piping hot water, a well-equipped kitchen, and some lovely little treats to welcome us…we really did feel instantly at home! Fantastic northerly views across the Moray Firth right round from west to east, and endless miles of wild sandy beach and coastal path on the doorstep. We know Findhorn well, and this flat is a gem! The owners obviously love it too and had even decked the flat out for Christmas for us — a really nice surprise!

Cons: The only downside was that the twin beds only had lightweight single duvets, which don’t hang over the side of the bed at the best of times, and certainly not if there is an adult sized body underneath! This is a north facing room and it was a cold first night! We devised a solution next day using both duvets and a large wool blanket to tuck them in and stop them from sliding off … but it would have been tough if both beds were occupied! A couple of double duvets as an option would make all the difference for any adult guests staying in that room!

I never ever thought to turn on the large TV that was available. The view was mesmerising.

Pros: The view was stunning. It must be one of the best properties for aspects in Findhorn. The kitchen was well equipped and the host offered a lovely welcome basket with tea, coffee and generous biscuits

Cons: The beds and the bedding was a bit tired.

Pros: A beautiful property with outstanding views of the Moray Firth. The apartment was very clean and well appointed. We particularly liked the provision of binoculars so we could look out to sea. Some great restaurants nearby.

Pros: The location is perfect. Beautiful views. The flat is very well equipped and very spacious. Ideal for 2 couples sharing as there’s an en-suite and a second bathroom. Allocated car parking space and additional parking nearby if required.

Cons: There’s actually not a lot to not like about the flat. The only thing I would have liked was black out blinds.

Pros: The location close to the beach and facilities inside the flat were excellent. The flat was spacious and cosy, with lots of light and panoramic views from the living room windows. Everything was exceptionally clean. The owners were very organised and provided us with an information booklet, and also kindly left tea, coffee and biscuits.

Cons: The main bathroom was a little cold as the heated towel rail did not really warm this room.
