Perfect for a cosy quiet time away.

Pros: Really cute, cosy \u0026 clean. Loved the fireplace, wish there were more logs/kindlin. Loved the recipes on the walls. Beds were really comfy. Garden was massive.

Cons: I couldn’t figure out how to get the hot water for the bath.

Pros: Central location, between the town centre and the beach. Beautiful layout of the house and it had everything you needed

Cracking Value

Pros: Perfect location 2 mins walk from the shops and right by the railway where I was working. Smashing big rooms and comfy beds. A home away from home. Nice big bath as well.

A true taste of Railway Cottage life.

Pros: This cottage has plenty of history and the name Railway cottage is a clue why. The library in the dining room has many fascinating books including a wealth of railway travel, history and technical books. Just as well, it turns out, as a rail tour special hauled by two type 37 diesel electric locos pulled through Brora and past the cottage, rumble and growl included! Terrific and I was able to read all about the technical aspects of the 37s. Which is a long winded way of saying thanks to our hosts for a delightful, warm, well equipped and as before satisfying stay in the village while we visit family. Highly recommended.

Super cottage in Brora

Pros: The cottage is very comfortable. The heating is very efficient and it has a well equipped small kitchen. It is well located and there is plenty to do in the area. The library in the house is awesome!!!!

Cons: I would really have appreciated having at least a loo upstairs where the bedrooms are - it's a long walk in the dark to the loo in the middle of the night!

Characterful, comfy, warm and welcoming after a long drive.

Pros: A wonderful railwayman's house with excellent facilities that still maintains its historical significance very well. The heating was welcome too, given the weather and the roomy accommodation gave us comfy evenings too. In the dining room there is a fantastic library with a great range of books, including some excellent railway themed tomes. Given the weather we weren't able to use the garden but in the better months it would be a very welcome amenity.

A beautiful place to stay in Brora

Pros: Wow, this place is lovely! So comfortable and charming, has everything you need. Quiet and safe, near the beach. Great shower, well appointed kitchen, lots of space, we loved staying here and would love to come back.

Cons: I wish we could have stayed longer!
