Fabulous place to stay - we loved it!

Pros: A fabulous place to stay, with the highest quality fittings, furnishings and decor. Very comfortable bed, wonderful bathroom, welcoming hosts. Great breakfast, and happy to cater for dietary requirements. We highly recommend Mount Barker!

Superb base for touring Cairngorms and Speyside

Pros: Mount Barker is a superb base for touring the Cairngorms and Speyside. Karen and Alec are very friendly hosts and were particularly helpful in suggesting local restaurants and tourist attractions to visit. Their home is very comfortable and beautifully presented. We appreciated additional touches such as complimentary dram of whisky left in our room.

Pros: Great location and beautifully maintained property. Room was comfortable and spacious with everything we needed including coffee machine and coffee, milk, biscuits, whisky, bathrobes, slippers etc Karen was a very friendly and attentive host. She is knowledgeable about the area and provided helpful recommendations as well as preparing us delicious breakfasts. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
