Great seaside cottage

Pros: Beautiful cottage, very comfortable for 8 people. The kitchen is very well designed and equipped. The downstairs bathroom is also well designed. Upstairs is a bit more of a quirky cottage feel with creaky floorboards and a nice seaside theme.

Cons: The upstairs larger double bed was unfortunately so uncomfortable. Both the bed and the mattress sagged so badly that we ended up buying a blow up mattress to sleep in instead.

Fantastic location and property

Pros: Hester is a fantastic host. The location of the property with the views and short walk to Bow Fiddle Rock are amazing. Great base to travel to other towns or to just head out walks each day. We really wish we were staying longer!

Cons: Only suggestion would be some new pillows on beds and the downstairs matress is noisy but nothing major.

Absolute gem for the price. Spacious and very comfortable. A village where people say hello and engage in a chat. Felt

Pros: Property was true to description. Clean, spacious and perfectly located for us walking the Moray Coast Trail. Attention to detail, milk in fridge, pack of ground coffee, dishwashing tablets (I could on) all make you feel that Hester goes the extra distance to welcome guests. Communication with Hester is prompt.

Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like!

Pros: Beautiful property in a beautiful village. Plenty of space for all 9 of us and everything clean and tidy.🙂

Excellent cottage in an excellent location

Pros: Amazing cottage and facilities in a truly spectacular location. 30 seconds walk to the amazing Portknockie coastline. House was well equipped and spacious, Host was great with information and details pre arrival.

A lovely break in a beautiful location.

Pros: Great location. The property had good facilities and the welcome pack and extra touches were thoughtful and much appreciated. Our grandson enjoyed the variety of toys in the cottage.

Cons: Unfortunately, for us, the mattresses were very saggy and the pillows were lumpy and too flat with no extra pillows available. The cutlery and crockery in the kitchen needed to be washed before we could use them and the oven and trays were not very clean either. This aside, the kitchen was well equipped and a lovely space for family meals.

Perfect accommodation.

Pros: The kitchen was perfect. Large table and very spacious. Yes, some floor tiles need replacing and could do to have more forks, but we loved it.

Cons: Nothing. It was all good!

Pros: Great location. Easy parking outside. Lovely village and very close to walk to the harbour, pub, fish and chips and local shop. Downstairs bedroom and en-suite was ideal as one of our party has mobility issues. Lovely large kitchen/diner.

Delightful place to stay.

Pros: The cottage was quaint but modern and well fitted out. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen well set up with everything we needed. The showers and bathroom facilities were excellent. Thought had obviously been put into the decor and design of the place and also to what might be needed by folk visiting.

Cons: There were a couple of things we feel we should mention for maintenance. In the small toilet upstairs several floor boards are split and could potentially hurt someone if barefoot. Also there are a few broken tiles on the kitchen floor which are cracked and could cause accidents. The welcome pack that we had been led to expect on arrival wasn’t there and the cleaner hadn’t finished work by the time we arrived at 4.30 pm, but we did inform the owner of this at the time. Other than that we have no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Pros: La literie. Cuisine confortable. La maison agréable.

Cons: Manque de couverts, petite cuillère, pas de louche. Manque de verres. Certains couverts étaient sales, le lave vaisselle pas très propre.
