Lovely stay in a beautiful setting

Pros: Beautiful coastal location, lovely family holiday home with everything you’d need for a stay.

Cons: Spiral stairs were a bit of a challenge with luggage and the dog!

Would happily stay here again.

Pros: Location! Warm. Comfortable. Only real noise is the sea. I liked the spiral staircase, wife didn't. Perfect communication with the host. Had just about everything we needed. Great character!

Cons: A little dated in places. Could have done with a wee bit more t.p. A french press or mokka pot would be a great addition.

Pros: We loved the location, especially as when we arrived there was a bit of wind and high seas, which we very much enjoyed watching. Another bonus was that we had booked a meal in the inn next door, which was also excellent! We cooked and had a cosy night in the following night. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, and appreciated being able to watch Local Hero on the TV. The house was lovely and warm on our arrival, and throughout our stay, and very comfortable. It was lovely to watch the sea from the bedroom window, especially from the bed, first thing in the morning. We loved the attic bedroom, though we did not use it, as only two of us. We were only there for two nights but could very happily have stayed for longer. There are lots of excellent walks nearby. Will certainly return if we find it available again in the future.

Cozy, quirky cottage right by the sea.

Pros: Fabulous location, amazing views from the lounge and main bedroom.

Cons: The kitchen is dated, but very functional.

Pros: Beautiful location, cottage was cosy and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Everything was very clean and the beds were great. Upstairs bedroom is really pretty.

Cons: Blackout curtains might be an idea for the summer - we woke up a little bit earlier than we’d have liked!

Pros: Excellent setting . Quirky traditional cottage with atmosphere.

Cons: The only aspect not enjoyed were the very steep stairs to the upper bedroom !

A lovely cottage in a remote location, if you like the sea, but certainly a summer location.

Pros: A really comfortable house, thankfully very warm, beautiful location, open the windows and hear the waves of the sea just outside.

Cons: The appearance of the outdoor paintwork, not a good first impression, the spiral staircase (if you have bad knees) the access road is not for the faint-hearted.

An ideal place to get away from the noise and bustle of urban life.

Pros: The location, very close to the sea front in a small village with beautiful surroundings, was idyllic. It was so peaceful when we visited. We stayed a week but would have loved to have stayed longer. The cottage itself was lovely and the perfect base for our daily trips to various castles and nature reserves. We were very lucky with perfect weather for our trip, which just enhanced our stay all the more.

Cons: We didn’t really dislike anything. It wasn’t a problem for us but the narrow spiral staircase plus the very steep wooden stairs to the second bedroom could prove tricky for some guests and the drive down the quite narrow, steep and twisting road to Pennan itself might also be tricky for inexperienced drivers but it was worth it to reach such a beautiful location.

Perfect, would have liked to stay longer.
