Excellent stay in a lovely cottage, would highly recommend.

Pros: Great communications from Jo and was met when arrived on site, provided a thorough brief on the site, facilities.

Cons: The original cottage was changed due to a failing boiler to another cottage. The cottage was lovely with everything you would expect for a 4 day stay, however, most of the blinds are broken and the radio was broken.

Great place to stay to explore the highlands

Pros: Location was fantastic Swimming pool Well equipped cottage

Cons: Pillows and mattress on double bed wasn't amazing

Cons: Kitchen equipment a bit thin- no scissors, a grater, sieve, salad spinner. Would expect these things in property of otherwise high standard

Cons: The shower pressure upstairs wasn’t very strong and there was not a lot of boiling water from it if the heating was on too long which was needed as -7 but otherwise downstairs shower was very good and hot and heating worked very well

Wonderful Highland Getaway

Pros: The cottage was clean, warm and welcoming. A great size for the four of us and a perfect central location in Fort Augustus and as a base for exploring the Highlands. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the Abbey was an amazing place, our children loved the swimming pool especially.

Cons: There wasn’t much private outside space / view of the loch / river, though I think there are certain cottages that do have this. It didn’t ruin our holiday, it just would have been a nice extra. We did also have an issue with the heating, though the staff (who were all excellent) did respond so quickly and advised us what to do when it went off. My only other negative point was that the beds weren’t very comfortable- this may just be a personal preference, they were just very firm.

A wonderful and luxury Place

Pros: The extra facilities on the premises were a pleasant surprise. We were able to use the pool, sauna and steam room as well as the large chess set. The apartment was nice and peaceful with an outdoor seating area facing a little stream with loads of rabbits and birds. Very idyllic!

Cons: The booking system for the pool was over complex. Could do with simplifying the process and a more intuitive website.

Abbey cottage

Pros: communication and checking in was brilliant, Fernando gave us a tour of the facilities and the cottage and made us feel welcome. The milk and bottle of wine in the fridge was a lovely touch.
