A comfortable stay for a family holiday.

Pros: The self catering facilities allowed us to cook almost as if we were at home, and there was plenty of space for all six of us, despite the winter weather. In summer, this would be an even better place to be, making use of the outdoor spaces too.

Cons: We could have done with a few more dishwasher tablets! Everything else was there.

Lovely short break

Pros: Very spacious, with incredibly comfy beds. Plenty of parking and quiet. Good kitchen facilities. Nice wee welcome pack. Host quick to report via text message. Short walk into town.

We had a lovely week at Darwin Cottage - good location for exploring the local area.

Pros: Lovely, peaceful spot near to local facilities. Host was nearby and helpful. Enclosed, private garden which was great for us and our dog.

Great family home away from home.

Pros: Peaceful but central location, beautiful garden, homely and comfortable. Will be back!

Cons: Would have preferred to control the heating ourselves as it was very cold late in the evening but too hot early morning. Recommend having cooking oil and salt in the cupboard.
