Historic character cottage in central Dornoch

Pros: Great location and very cosy Croft house. Enjoyed walking to the beach and the local restaurants and bars.

Cons: Low ceilings in the bedrooms were inconvenient due to us all being over 6ft.

Pros: The character of the cottage, the comfort and cosiness. The beds were the comfiest I’ve ever had. The garden was amazing and with views over the village. Dornoch is beautiful. Good food. Definitely would stay again here. Lots of little things throughout to make out stay really good. Coal fire amazing.

Highly recommended. We will be looking to book again in the not too distant future.

Quiet retreat in Dornoch

Pros: Lovely central location, very clean, good quality towels and linen and comfortable beds. The location was peaceful yet within easy walking distance of everything in Dornoch

Cons: Not so much didn't like, more for others to be aware of (because we weren't)....both bathrooms are downstairs, one ensuite. Also, the two upstairs bedrooms have very sloping walls and doors. As I said, didn't worry us too much but for others it might

Pros: Our stay at the cottage in Dornoch was great. It’s a great location; every time we googled how far away our dinner reservations were, it was within five minutes. The accommodation is a blend of highland cottage and modern comfort. It was immaculately clean, the heating system made every room cosy. The owners have paid close attention to detail in the conversion to a holiday home. The kitchen was well-equipped with top-of-the-range appliances - making it possible to cook anything in that kitchen. We only ate breakfast there, the local cafes were brilliant, and I was on holiday.

Pros: Location was really central in Dornoch with lots of places to eat and loads of shops for a small village. Nice walks in the area. The cottage was lovely, with everything you need for a break. Communication with the owners was excellent.

Pros: The cottage was immaculately presented with lovely thoughtful welcoming touches. It was like coming home. All modern high end appliances and well thought out cottage instructions were most helpful. We would thoroughly recommend staying and experiencing this treasure of a cottage. Enjoyable stay in pretty Dornoch

Pros: Beautifully furnished \u0026 well equipped cottage close to amenities of Dornoch. Quiet \u0026 private with parking outside on the road alongside. Provisions of coffee, tea, chocolate \u0026 crisps alongside other kitchen essentials most welcomed

Cons: Enjoyed our 3 night stay while attending wedding festivities. Slight difficulty in changing heating thermostat which was possibly due to WiFi connection \u0026 understanding how to operate the smart Smeg cooker.

Pros: The location was excellent within easy walking distance to the restaurants, golf course and shops. It is well appointed and comfortable.

Cons: Could have some shelving in both bathrooms - nowhere to put shower gel etc other than on the floor. Kettle, stove and washing machine great but quite complicated to use. Instructions not that great.

Great homely place to explore the town and surrounding area. Definitely recommend and will return.
